- Campus Life is the first thing come to mind when you talk about Cutn.
- Hostel and other infrastructure is also pretty good only.
Dislikes
- Lack of transportation, CUTN is isolated from major cities of tamil nadu.
- Then come the worst mess food experience, where you will have to face stomach troubles minimum once in a week.
Remarks :
Admission in central universities are through a common entrance test called CUET UG, where almost 50+ govt and private universities participate. There is no other kind of interview or GD for admission it is solely based on CUET test score. Affordability of the course attracts people here.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Faculties are really good, uf you ask me to rate of 10 it will 7.5 to 8 ! There are so many well experienced aged professors as well as new recruits. Most of the professors have completed their studies from best universities in India like BHU, UoH, DU, JNU as well as from foreign universities. The teaching method is mostly book orientated
Internships Opportunities :
College doens't offer any internship drives but still most of teh students were able to do couple of internships during their course time. Most of teh works will be research based under supervision of any notable professors or institute.
Placement Experience :
College placements are not that good, very few students get placed annually. It's mainly because of the nature of courses, most of the courses as well as students are research oriented. So itself number of students choosing higher studies are high. Notable number of alumni are there in IITs and other foreign universities.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Fees is collected in semester wise, in 2021 it was 7000 for a semester. You will have to pay through SBI Collect. Initially there are a few deposits like all other colleges, which will sum upto around 8000. Sc&ST having fees wavier in hostel fees only. Hostel fee for other students is around 2000 per semester. And the fees actually varhee from year to year. A marginal rise of 5% is there.
Campus Life :
Campus Life is pretty good if you not consider transportation as a factor. There is a calm and peaceful environment always in campus which support your mental well being. Coming to fest, as it's a central university we host different programmes or cultural activities of different states. Onam and Pongal stands the best out of all along with Holi as well. College also conducts annual sports meet and arts competition. Library named as chola central library is real gem with lot of books, journals etc.
Hostel Facilities :
Central University of Tamilnadu is currently having 8 student hostels. In which 3 are for boys and 3 for girls, remaining two are for PHD scholars. Residential blocks for professors are located in a different land. Almost 90% of the students are hostellers which make the hostel life beautiful. Mess food is not that good but still okay only, college is having 3 working messes.

Placements are given in high reputed companies, even companies like Microsoft, IOS, intel are also collaborated with the college. And for animation they provide placement in" Toonz Animation, Techno park, Thiruvananthapuram.

Placement Experience :
Placements are good like when you rech the 4th semester you will be told to register the Placement portal and you will be charged 5000 to register in that Placement portal after that people from good companies or professional Placement trainers will come and train you give you classes the classes will be there until 5th semester end. After that many Placement offers will come to you in your given emails and you will be able to apply in those companies if you are eligible they will contact you. Internship offers the staffs itself give all the active Internship details in the college whatsapp group it will be created once your classes begin.

Placement Experience :
The eligibilty varies it's better to no arrears during placements average package could 3.5LPA Around 60 percent is placed I got placed. IN our college there are various companies that come for placemrnt like Capegimini, hcl, wipro, airtel, Ericcson.
Good college and value for money
Placement Experience :
Around 70% of the students from this course got placed, which is kinda decent I think. The highest package went up to 21 LPA and the lowest was around 5 LPA. Some of the main companies that came for recruitment were TCS, Zoho and Wipro. For internships also, students got chances in companies like Zoho, Amazon and Wipro. Most of the roles offered were related to HR, not much technical roles from what I heard.

The faculty of this college is good there are strick and the curriculum are good and every one in the college will face 2 test before the main exam internal test one and internal test 2 are the two test and practical will be taken place a side

The fee structure in the college is high and for different course the fee is different for ELECTRONIC AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING I am paying ?90000 and for bus ? 16000 and someone in my class is paying ?125000 so not everyone is paying the same amount in the college
