- Value of the certificate and the reputation of the university. An official email id is being provided by the university to the students which helps a lot while applying for jobs. The support provided by the teachers are aloso so good.
- Exams are conducted on time. 2 internal examinations will be conducted followed by semester examination. Failure rate is very less here. Valuation is transparent and release of results are much faster than expected.
Dislikes
- Infrastructure of the campus did not met the expectations. Quality of Infrastructure is poor. Good maintenance is not being done there . Facilities need to be improved.
- As it is a rural area, reaching the campus is not that easy. From the railway as well as bus stand around 1 hour is there to travel to the campus and also shops and everything is less there as it it a rural area. People coming from cities might find this a lil bit difficult at beginning.
Remarks :
The major reason behind choosing this college is the reputation of the university. Cochin university is a well reputed university in india. Students all over india and even outside india are reaching here for higher studies. Plenty of north indian students are here. Value of the certificate is much greater. Placement options are also good enough. CUSAT conducts a common admission test namely CUSAT CAT every year. Interested students can apply online for this computer based test. For mca logical reasoning, Mathematics and quantitative analysis will be asked. 4 marks will be added for each correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Better do not try to attend unsure answers. Leave them if you are not sure about the answer. So that you can avoid negative marks and score better. Based on the ranklist published by the university allotments will be published in the official website. Around 3 main allotments will be conducted followed by spot allotments to fill seats.
Course Curriculum Overview :
College is having nice faculty. They are really up to date regarding commencement of classes as well as labs. Teachers are providing good academic as well as moral support to the students. They are available everytime to clear our doubts. Even in the lab also the role of lab assistants and teachers are inevitable . Seminars will be conducted sometimes and students should prepare individually or as a group to take classes. Exams will be conducted in a timely manner and results will be published fastly. Exams will be of moderate difficulty but it can be accessed and students can score better by having an idea about the subject and through developing skills on a daily basis through practicing.
Internships Opportunities :
Internship opportunity is not provided at the college. We are only provided with doing projects. If interested in doing Internships we should do it out of the campus. Project options are available. Either individual or group wise project can be done.
Placement Experience :
Placement cell is working at the college. Reputed companies come in touch with the college every year. IBM, TCS,CISCO,ACCENTURE and all connects the university. Highest package was 20 lakh per annum. Nowadays placement options are less as is it recession period after covid pandemic.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The course is of 2 years ,each year containing 2 semesters . Total 4 semesters. For cost sharing mca each semester has a fee of 40000. So for 1 year 80000 should be paid. This is the overall fee structure including the tution fee,lab fee,admission fee,caution deposit,development fee and other compulsory charges. Examination fee should be paid separately at the time of examination. Regular seats are also available at the college. For this only 20000 should be paid per semester. Students belong to SC,ST,OBH categories will have to pay total fees of 1500 rupees per semester. Students can apply for various scholarships including central sector scholarship, e grants, post matric scholarship etc in the national scholarship portal and all. A good amount can be received if you are having pretty good marks.
Campus Life :
Infrastructure of the college is not upto expectation. As it is a rural campus facilities are not that good . Our classroom is air-conditioned and have individual wooden pad and chair arrangements for each students. Still the overall Infrastructure need to be improved. Access to the library is so easy. Students can refer books with the library card given. There is good support in sports given in the campus. Badminton court is there. Students can get engaged in playing football, cricket, volleyball, badminton etc... Nss is there in the campus . Various clubs including art club, science club etc...
Hostel Facilities :
I've rented a room. 4 students are accomodated in a room. Food is being provided by the house owner itself. Nice homely food is available. Total amount of 5000 is paid per month for food and accommodation together. Current bill is not included in this. We need to pay that separately. Quality of food is fine.

I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.
