- Friendly Faculties - Faculties are really helpful and will teach you a lot of core deep knowlege.
- Good Placement Support - Placements are above 95% every year
- Good Infrastructure - Has labs with all the required facilities and you have to freedom to learn a lot of topics.
- Supportive Administration - Staffs are friendly and support you with your needs and you feel listened.
Dislikes
- Fests and less non-technical events - You can't expect events like Non-Tech Dance or Singing or any that sortof fests.
- Campus is pretty small compared to other colleges. Comparing to other nearby colleges the campus is good but the area is less and it's compact.
Remarks :
As mentioned above, the cutoffs recommended are 180+ through counseling and 170+ for merit management. This college is known for taking in only meritorious students. For interview, they won't ask any technical questions and stuff - they want to know about you just that's it. There are a lot of good aspects about this college. 1. Good Infrastructure 2. Friendly Faculties 3. Highly Qualified Faculties 4. Student Supportive Administration 5. Good Placements 6. Industry Support There are a few tradeoffs tho, Sometimes you feel that the coursework is outdated but every 2-3 years the syllabus keeps changing to the current industry standards. You might feel the coursework is a bit too hard but you will learn to cope up. The college doesn't have a lot of fests that often, so if you are expecting a fest-ful experience then this college might not be the one.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I got admitted through the counseling process and got Computer Science and Engineering. The coursework is updated every 2-3 years to keep up with the industry standard. A frequent series of workshops and seminars are conducted every year where renowned industry people come and interact with the young talented minds over here. The teachers are very friendly and will clear all your doubts. Most of them have PhD so they are highly qualified and experienced. Exams patterns are 2 CAT(Continous Assessment Test) and finally End Semester Examinations. They are of medium to hard level and the grading system is relative grading system so it is hard to score marks. Relative grading system was implemented from the student admitted after 2021 onwards.
Internships Opportunities :
Internship oppurtunities are available here. Mostly you have to do it at your 3rd year semester breaks. So it will give you good exposure of industry and their standards. Companies also come for internships during the placements season.
Placement Experience :
Usually placements are good for Circuit Branches. Most of these students get placed and TCE has always a track record of over 90% placements every year, you can check it at their website. Eligibility Criteria would be based on the company but generally a GPA over 7.5 or 8(preferred), with no or current backlogs and good projects. Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Basically there are few ways you can get admitted to this college. First is the TNEA(Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission) which calculates you cutoff marks(P+C)/2 + M/2 . Generally you need to have a cutoff mark above 175 to get into any of the branch here. When you get admission through TNEA, there are two fee Structures 1. Govt. Aided - ~ 20,000 per year 2. Self Financing - ~ 80,000 per year Other way is Merit Management Quota. You can directly apply .Cutoff of atleast 165+ is required. You will have to attend an interview with the principal and only then you will be selected. It is a very formal and simple interview . Fees is around Rs. 2.25 Lakhs/year. Scholarships are available. For First Graduates, For different Category Students and every year there are Alumni Scholarship schemes which focus on providing the fees for the needy students. In that case, if one gets the scholarship - you don't have to pay anything, but the reason must be legit.
Campus Life :
Life of campus is good. Fests aren't that frequent. But technical fests are frequent, you get the oppurtunities to participate in a lot of them. Library facility is available from Monday to Saturday till 7 p.m. Classrooms are neat, equipped with Projects and smart classrooms are there. Campus has WiFi facility all over. Clubs are a lot. You name it, TCE has it. You have English Club, Literature Club, Quiz Club(Quizzards), E-Cell(Entrepreneurship Cell), Dramatics Club, Prometheans, Yuktha Racing Club, Drone Club, Dance Club and much more department specific clubs are available to explore yourself and innovate.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel has good quality food. The menu is fixed. Hostel provides purely Veg food. There are no other eateries inside hostel. However there is a general store which has Snacks, Juice, Icecreams and all other Stationary needs, along with Printing and Xerox facility available till 12 a.m. 24/7 vending machine is also available. Totally 5 buildings for Boys hostel - A,B,C,D,E. Block A, B, C, D is a bit older and has lesser fees. E is a newer building with more facilities and around Rs.10k fees higher. Around the college campus, there are PGs and rented homes available for reasonable rates. WiFi facility is there but not consistent. Good mobile phone coverage is present. Girls hostel has 2 buildings and depending on your year, you will be alloted rooms.

Placements are good like when you rech the 4th semester you will be told to register the Placement portal and you will be charged 5000 to register in that Placement portal after that people from good companies or professional Placement trainers will come and train you give you classes the classes will be there until 5th semester end. After that many Placement offers will come to you in your given emails and you will be able to apply in those companies if you are eligible they will contact you. Internship offers the staffs itself give all the active Internship details in the college whatsapp group it will be created once your classes begin.

The eligibilty varies it's better to no arrears during placements average package could 3.5LPA Around 60 percent is placed I got placed. IN our college there are various companies that come for placemrnt like Capegimini, hcl, wipro, airtel, Ericcson.
Good college and value for money
Placement Experience :
Around 70% of the students from this course got placed, which is kinda decent I think. The highest package went up to 21 LPA and the lowest was around 5 LPA. Some of the main companies that came for recruitment were TCS, Zoho and Wipro. For internships also, students got chances in companies like Zoho, Amazon and Wipro. Most of the roles offered were related to HR, not much technical roles from what I heard.
