Is veltech a good institute to join?

- Overall its an 7.5/10, campus life is good, infrastructure is good, and the college is ok, it kinds depends on the department as well.
Dislikes
- dislike totally depends, not always but sometimes we wish the management is a bit better in terms of everything.
Remarks :
I joined with the suggestion of my senior , the reviews were okay, NIRF Ranking - 87th. i didnt have any written test or group discussion before joining, although they did ask for my 12th, 10th and jee mark lists. There's a campus entrance test, VTUEE - which you can give before you join, and the fee considerations are based on your vtuee score.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course i opted for is Computer Science and engineering, the department was overall good - 8.5/10 in terms of infrastructure it was great, teaching methods , course modules was good, we had industry specific labs and projects that was useful during placements. Exams totally depend on the subject, but was difficulty was good, we were asked in depth questions.
Internships Opportunities :
Internship offers are quite less compared to job offers (full time offers) we mostly have internships from either companies or foriegn institutes that are tied up with our university like taiwan, japan, thailand etc. For now i have only finished my online internship, not through campus, but off campus.
Placement Experience :
Placements vary from year to year, im in my 8th semester and our placements just started, as of now around 190 companies visited, with almost 40% students getting placed, also they depend on the stream and department you're in,hoping we get good companies in 2025
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
fee structure depends on the time you joined the institute, i joined pretty late around december, the right time to join was in september, i had jee main counsillings are wasn't sure where to join. But approxmate fee is around 1-2l per year, depending on the course and degree you opt for, i choose B.tech in Computer science plus i joined late so it was around 3.5L.
Campus Life :
We have various fest like LAVAZA every year, mostly during feb and march. We have other eminities like research park, incubator, student clubs, sports, canteen, library etc. Students are free to explore the campus till 7.00pm
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel was average, because of the food..we had frequent problems regarding food, most students hated food here, got sick etc. but they dont let us use kettle or electric stoves in our rooms, checking went on,so we usually ordered food or just get from campus canteen.

Placements are given in high reputed companies, even companies like Microsoft, IOS, intel are also collaborated with the college. And for animation they provide placement in" Toonz Animation, Techno park, Thiruvananthapuram.

Not bad placement trainings and good faculty members to train for placements . Good companies with good packages come for placement drives who select the best of all and give placements for them. Good placements.

Placement Experience :
Placements are good like when you rech the 4th semester you will be told to register the Placement portal and you will be charged 5000 to register in that Placement portal after that people from good companies or professional Placement trainers will come and train you give you classes the classes will be there until 5th semester end. After that many Placement offers will come to you in your given emails and you will be able to apply in those companies if you are eligible they will contact you. Internship offers the staffs itself give all the active Internship details in the college whatsapp group it will be created once your classes begin.

Placement Experience :
The eligibilty varies it's better to no arrears during placements average package could 3.5LPA Around 60 percent is placed I got placed. IN our college there are various companies that come for placemrnt like Capegimini, hcl, wipro, airtel, Ericcson.
Good college and value for money
Placement Experience :
Around 70% of the students from this course got placed, which is kinda decent I think. The highest package went up to 21 LPA and the lowest was around 5 LPA. Some of the main companies that came for recruitment were TCS, Zoho and Wipro. For internships also, students got chances in companies like Zoho, Amazon and Wipro. Most of the roles offered were related to HR, not much technical roles from what I heard.

The faculty of this college is good there are strick and the curriculum are good and every one in the college will face 2 test before the main exam internal test one and internal test 2 are the two test and practical will be taken place a side
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure in the college is high and for different course the fee is different for ELECTRONIC AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING I am paying ?90000 and for bus ? 16000 and someone in my class is paying ?125000 so not everyone is paying the same amount in the college
