- The faculty is extremely friendly and always ready to help the students when possible(including extending the deadline of assignments if it seems to be a problem for a lot of people)
- The infrastructure is all inclusive. It includes open lecture halls for theory and lighbox room for animation, room for clay design, a game room to game in, multiple labs where every table has a plug point, rooms for still life where the students have to replicate what is placed before them, a mess to eat in, along with rooms for fashion design etx
Dislikes
- The only problem with the college is it is a little far from the main city, though it is accessible by both- public transport and the college bus.
- Campus Life - the only problem is no matter the reason, the college doesn't allow you to leave early unless you have all the permissions required(which is a bit of a hectic process)
Remarks :
I had a test along with interview. Alternatively, you can submit your portfolio as well. I chose this college as it seemed like the best option in India for game design. They also have partnerships with unreal engine and igdc
Course Curriculum Overview :
First year starts off a little hectic as students in all the courses are taught the basic of art. Second year focuses more on the practicality of the subject, aimed at making solo game projects on unity. Unreal is introduced in the third year
Internships Opportunities :
I haven't as I'm focusing on building my portfolio right now. The college encourages students to pick up internship in the third year or higher as the students learn to balance work, class and assignments during that time.
Placement Experience :
The college offers placements but a lot of it also has to do with how the person builds their portfolio throughout the 4 years in college. The details of placements isn't available to anyone who isn't in final year. Unfortunately, I won't be able to help with the stipend offers.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For general it is 1.5l per year for b.des game design. This is broken down into downpayments which can be decided with the college. They do allow scholarships. Financial aid is also provided depending on the circumstances
Campus Life :
There are numerous clubs (including music, game, anime, board game etc) which are active on every Saturday. The main fest of the college, Athena, is held in the month of December. Other than this, the college also celebrates freshers day and all the other festivals(such as onam, Ganesh chaturthi etc). All the clubs are run by students. Numerous books along with study materials of the previous years can be found in the library which is located in the basement. Every class has ac and projector. Every class also has a lot of plug points as most work after first year is on laptop. Football and cricket tournaments are held along with competitions for singing, rapping etc.
Hostel Facilities :
Sukoon living is the only one associated with college. I stayed there for the first year. It's in vijaynagar, scheme 78. Food is given 4 times a day with an exception of Sunday when the lunch is special and hence the snacks aren't provided(only on Sunday). The college bus stops 100m away from the hostel. Compared to other hostels, it's quite affordable and the food is good as well. You can ask college for their number and contact the owners of sukoon living accordingly. Rooms have ac, geyser (and depending on the price, windows as well).

Placement and job opportunity is good in this college around 60% placed before start of 7th semester and 90% placed till end of 8th semester. Various company like Amazon , tcs , infosys , etc visit the campus. Highest package till now is 44 lpa and average is 6.5 lpa
Life at School Of Commerce, Devi Ahilya University
Placement Experience :
The placement is quite quite good as year on years recently the placement was goes 57LPA to 75LPA and teh avg was 7-8LPA and median is 10LPA something. The college have 100% placement record every year and they also give grants and loans for students who wants to startup. But the internship support is zero like college are only focused on placement they are not foucing on internship.

I would like to say there are more job openings and internship programmes we had than a private college for both Graduates and Masters students. job openings in TCS/ banks and industries too. The thing is you need to put effort to grab a good opportunity. attain placements opening whenever you got notification from college groups. be prepared. ask your teacher to clear more doubts. However, I am the one who already had a job so I did not take from there because I was working in tech mahindra and its work from home in my favourate feild.

If you are focused on your studies you can get really good opportunities here as companies like accenture,TCS, Wipro and Tata Mahindra come here every year and many more companies too. The college provides training and placement classes from 2nd year onwards.

MBBS a rollercoaster ????

MBBS is concerned there is no issue with placement. As none of the doctors are jobless. And obviously placements are good one can work in well esteemed organization after just MBBS but more people prefer to opt PG course.
