- The university has a liquid tree in which green algae is cultivated for increasing the oxygen supply and for refreshment in the campus.
- University had a well maintained garden and a pond also campus is surrounded by backwaters.
Dislikes
- The university ground is not well maintained and unable to play football as well as cricket.
- Hostel accommodation is not available for first year M.Sc students since the room availablilty is very much less
Remarks :
While I’m pursuing my bachelor’s degree in physics, I heard about an interesting course which is only present in two universities in Kerala . Since I’m curious about ocean and marine creatures from young age I chose this course. There is an entrance exam conducted by the university for the admission. Overall the university is average to me . Criteria for the entrance exam is that you should have at least above 55% in the bachelor’s degree in subject like physics, mathematics , geography.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course M.Sc oceanography is very interesting and applicable in real life subject. Which learns us about how important is ocean for the existence of life in the earth. The faculty members are assistant professors who have doctorate in their corresponding field. Exams are conducted in 5 months gap . Internal exams are conducted twice.
Internships Opportunities :
We can apply in many institutions like CSIR - NIO for our internship. First we need to get consent from the scientist whose under we look for internship and also recommendation letter from the head of our department. Also internship are available in NIOT and INCOIS etc…
Placement Experience :
Campus placement is available in the university. And also after the completion of course and also doing the course we can do internship in any institute and also we have a project/dissertation also in last semester.if we perform well we can get placed under the scientists under which we do the project and also research about the topic under the care of same scientist
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Fees are paid semesterly . First semester fee is paid on the time of admission which includes tution fee of 27500, caution deposit of 5000 rupees , registration fee of 500, admission fee of 10000 ,lab fee of 1000 and a total of 44200 at first semester then second semester fee is about 31850 and third semester 28950 and fourth semester 31850. Fellow students also share the same fee structure excluding the children of fisherman who doesn’t need to pay this much huge amount.scholarships like e-grant is available.
Campus Life :
The university conducts youth festival in September every year to promote the cultural event talents in students. The university library contains many journals and publications which is available in both library and also on Internet. There is amenity centre. The university has both football and cricket team which is selected based on camps conducted by physical education department.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel accommodation is not available for first year M.Sc students since the number of rooms is not enough to accommodate that much of students. Although we can get access to mess since we pay mess fee. There are two hostels one is for B.Sc students and another is for M.Sc students for both girls and boys. The quality of food is average.

The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that

college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs

Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.

I choose this course because i have a strong interest in history and understanding past events,and culture and their impact on the present.the course curriculam is well structured and covers both core elective subjects,giving a balanced understanding of historical concepts.

Most of the faculties are bds or mds graduated and well knowledged. Classes are mainly powerpoint presentation based and seminars. There are 2 internals and one model examination based on which qualification for university exam is determined.

I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
