Remarks :
In arena of public administration, university of madras is the top best college in tamilnadu for providing masters degree in public administration. This is the major factor. And next thing is affordability, among the top university that provide this course, university of madras is best in providing education at a lower cost, which is easier for strudents from all class. Admission process starts with an online application, proceeded by entrance exam - including written and interview. Once its done. The syllabus is given prior and exams are conducted in legit manner. The eligible candidates are called by the final resutls. Then by document verification and payment of fee. You are officially admitted to the department of politics and public administration.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Personally, I am an upsc aspirant and I have public administration as my optional for mains paper. So even I my ug degree I have chosen public administration. And for better understanding and deeper perspective. I decided to do my masters in same field. We have one head of the department and one associate professor as permanent staffs, but we have 6 guest lectures , who all are doctorates in public administration. Political science and international relations. My professors are best, because they handle the new gen learner, so they are updated to technologies and the are pioneer in teaching. About the exams we have to interim exams called sessionals. One main end semester exam. The marks from sessionals are taken for internals and the written exams are conducted for 60 amrks. About the level.. Its bit tough, because at masters lelvel, it is imporatnt to have deeper and better understanding about the field.
Internships Opportunities :
It an compulsory provision under our curriculum, to complete an internship for about a month to avail credits score.So I have done my internship with the department of social welfare and women empowerment, fro the district collectorate of karur. And it was an lifetime experience as a whole. My guide vows all credits because he is the reason for my sucessful completion of my 5 weeks internship program.
Placement Experience :
We have a special cell for placements and offers. Many reputed companiea and industries have signed mous with unom and few examples are accenture, sutherland, tcs, mahendra tech, and so on. In the field of science and technologies, we have many placements in abroad, and the higesst package is 1l per month for a student in bio tech departmrnt, n guindy campus. I have cleared ugc net, and eargly waiting to take over the filed of education as an assistant professor.But I will also continue writing upsc cse exa,s untill I crack and get into service.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
To be precise my annual tuition fees is 3650 and other fess is around 2500. And its yearly 7500 apart from hostel fee. It includes registration fee. Admission fee, safety and caution fee, insurance fee and other lab fees.
Campus Life :
University od madras has five campuses, at chepauk, at marina, at chetpet, at guiny and at taramani. Each campus have each specialization, at chepauk we have arts and humanities. We have two biggest fest , they are kerlotsavam and neidhal. To celebrate keralites we have keralotsavam in the month of september to october. And tho celebrate the joy of pongal, we have neidhal fest in the month of janurary, prior to pongal. Madras university library, one of the biggest and oldest library in chennai, is located in unom. And we have hostels in four campuses, out of five, We have our own student union, we have environment clubs, nss and ncc and much more. We have abvb and sfi for the welfare of students. Also the chetpet campus is specially for physical education and to promote sports.

Placement Experience :
Placements are good like when you rech the 4th semester you will be told to register the Placement portal and you will be charged 5000 to register in that Placement portal after that people from good companies or professional Placement trainers will come and train you give you classes the classes will be there until 5th semester end. After that many Placement offers will come to you in your given emails and you will be able to apply in those companies if you are eligible they will contact you. Internship offers the staffs itself give all the active Internship details in the college whatsapp group it will be created once your classes begin.

The eligibilty varies it's better to no arrears during placements average package could 3.5LPA Around 60 percent is placed I got placed. IN our college there are various companies that come for placemrnt like Capegimini, hcl, wipro, airtel, Ericcson.
Good college and value for money
Placement Experience :
Around 70% of the students from this course got placed, which is kinda decent I think. The highest package went up to 21 LPA and the lowest was around 5 LPA. Some of the main companies that came for recruitment were TCS, Zoho and Wipro. For internships also, students got chances in companies like Zoho, Amazon and Wipro. Most of the roles offered were related to HR, not much technical roles from what I heard.

The fee structure in the college is high and for different course the fee is different for ELECTRONIC AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING I am paying ?90000 and for bus ? 16000 and someone in my class is paying ?125000 so not everyone is paying the same amount in the college
