Nirma University was considered top college in our school so I was misguided by my teachers to choose nirma university. Initially I expected that as it is the top college in Gujarat, I will find many toppers or studious students like me that's why I chose this college. But unfortunately, I found very few people were actually interested in studies. many students just come for completing lab work and exams to get degree. Most of students are between 40k to 2 lakh ranks in JEE Mains. Most teachers are not satisfied with the management. The attendence criteria is also very rigid to 85% per subject. If one fails to fulfil this criteria without genuine reason, They even called parents and also disqualify semester and students have to repeat semester with extra fees. Most students are from rich families and NRI quota students could get admission with very less marks also.
As it is a private university, professors are insisted to teach the pre-defined syllabus given by management. Even professors cannot teach more relevant things.Due to strict examination method and viva schedules from management, professors have no independence in teaching method. Lab work is to be submitted for every lab (weekly) of each subject. Based on experiment, we had 4-5 subject questions, which we have to answer using handwritten only and that too compulsorily using Nirma's own page, we can not use our own pages or file.Every department have 1-3 good faculties who are best in their fields but other than those faculties, most faculties are not good in teaching.Students are also mostly not interested in studies. In examination, most questions are repeated or slightly varied from previous year questions. So Most students just rely on PYQ and get good marks. Nirma is also very non-transparent in giving grades. Professors can just gives marks and management decides grades blindly.
Internship I got in IIT Bombay through my professors connection in IITB campus. It charged me around 10k rs+accomadation for 1.5 month in Mumbai. Very few companies (3-4) came directly to campus for internship opportunities but mostly student have to find their own internship and college made it compulsory.
For placement so many big companies of gujarat comes to our campus, placement process is always tiring and stressful everywhere, but nirma have its own portal for management of placements. To be eligible for placement, one must have to pay 3000 rs extra. If you sit for placement, they wont help you in getting LOR for foreign colleges masters applications. Reliance-7.5LPA, Adani 6LPA, Cisco-20LPA, Deutchse Bank-20LPA, Amazon-15LPA, Flipkart - 12LPA Highest package was 20 LPA in software development profile in my time and average was 5.5 LPA for GET profile 70 % of students were placed on campus. I got degree and placement but with my bechalors I had prepared well for GATE, So I got admission in IISc and thus, I opted out from placement and came for masters at IISc now.
The fee structure is very non-transparent, they take 94k per semester as tution fees and 3500 as examination fees. But during Covid crisis, no one was using campus except professors. They did not reduced any infrastructure fees of students. They provides two kind of scholarships, based on merit (score) and based on family income. Basically they reduce the fees amount to be paid in next semester to save parents' money. Students already getting scholarships like MYSY were not considered for their scholarship. Complete course fees is around 8 lakh (Just tution fees) for 4 years. They increased their tution fees every year or two years by some amount.
There are so many clubs of various interests. For Technical we had robotics club, e-Baja etc. clubs and also for non technical stuff, we had clubs for music, poetry, story telling club, etc. Despite of that every department had their own association club like MESA, CHESA, EESA etc.
There was no hostels for Bechalors program. They provided hostel only to masters students. Hostel were also very costly. Hostels were in campus itself but bechalors students had to live outside in PG for commuting daily.
The placements for M. Pharmacy is 90% lj ip is the best college in the Ahmedabad for pharmacy, commerce, class room etc the placements is too good in lok jagruti institute of pharmacy the placements for commerce is also good
They are good after m pharma around 90% but after b pharma not much because students opt to go for further education overall it’s is good and students a can rely on placement after completion of their course
Average CGPA should be more than 8. Packages providing will be approx 1.5-3.0 LPA. The placement is about 90%. The packages provided are good and satisfactory. After completing this bachelor's degree I would go for masters degree.
No placements are there . The aveeagw placement in the market is about 1.5 to 4.5 lakhs .As compared to the different field the packages for the freshers are very low . But the faculties based on their refrences they give the opportunity.
Plans after course generally comprise of of masters, as there is saturation of jobs in B. Pharm market, and masters help in skill development and making students employable in the industry as well as education.
Good placements after masters and bachelor’s the support is full from the institution and the companies come to collage and interview us and the placement are 90% and above with the good package expecting
All the faculties in the teaching staff are well qualified and give really good guidance for the curriculum and practical knowledge for each and every subject. The faculties also encourage participation in various extra curricular activities to enhance social networking and other skills.
Curriculum is well structured. The faculty members are also very knowledgeable and helpful whenever we need guidance they are always ready to help and exams are taken may times in one sem like we have mid sem 1 and 2 and internal practical and external practical and final end semester exam.
I havent got any job offer or placement from this University because i m a Diploma student but i will definitely try to search by myself for the job opportunities.I would rather handle my home business may be an 9 to 5 Job.
I have selected this course because of placement opportunity. Faculties members are highly qualified and they usually teach using PPT, white board, computer, etc . There is one mid term exam and one gtu exam per semester.
