The admission to this college is through an entrance. Students applying for this college has to clear the KEAM examination and secure high ranks. There exists some type of reservation system. The entrance examination is then followed by a three phased allotment session for which the students have to apply for their desired colleges which comes under KEAM. The allotment process is strictly based on ranks scored on the KEAM examination. Admission is based purely on merit basis. It offers a good academic structure. It comes under the KTU. Due to lagging that happened during COVID , the academic calender is a bit fast which makes it difficult for the students to manage both academics and curricular activities. But this applies to every colleges that comes under KTU. This College offers an excellent set of staffs.
I chose this course because of my keen interest in computer fields. The faculties are highly professional , very knowledgeable and supportive which makes me like my choice of course even more. We have two internal exams(theory) named as series exams followed by the end semester exams. It is quite timely. Internal and external practical exams also occur between this. Due to the lagging faced during COVID, the exam schedules are a bit hectic. Exams are moderately difficult. One can clear it with enough effort and dedication.
I haven't opted for any internships yet as i'm currently in my second year. But there are many intership offers for students through some clubs like gdsc, ieee etc. these are very beneficial to students in building their profile and for their career growth.
Placement offers in the college is comparatively less but its still satisfactory for my department. Some departments have very less placement opportunities but some has satisfactory options. Many of the students are recruited by the end of 4th year which is a good thing.
The year wise fees is almost around 10k to 15k. It varies depending on the year which you're studying. During admission a fee of around 14k is charged in the name of bus fee, pta fee etc(this is compulsory). I think there are some reductions as per category. Also there are many private and government scholarships to provide aid for students from financially backward families. We can apply for pragati( girl child scholarship) in the first year which needs to be renewed year to year. Egrantz is a common and assured scholarship that helps students. There are many private scholarships as well for which the students may get notified from the college itself or other related student heads.
As it is a government college, many programs occur throughout the year. The student councils are pretty efficient in conducting programs even if it doesn't have to meet the standards of every student. The highest techfest of our college named " invento" occurs every 2 years that brings many colleges together. It offers many workshops and other skill based programs. Our college has a central library and each department has its own department library in which almost every related books are available. Any student can have access to this facility. Every year, sports meet occurs regularly ( dept wise, year wise and also inter college). It helps students with sports background opportunities. There are also many student based clubs to improve and showcase talents namely, astroclub, music club, danceclub , fashion club etc.
College hostel has very limited seats which is based on some reservations like caste based, distance based etc. But this is overcame by affordable private hostels and homestays around the college. The food quality and standards are varied from hostels to hostels. Average monthly fee is around 5k (including food) and 2k ( without food). These hostels are pretty close to the college which makes students easier in the case of traversal. The college is situated in a very rural area so it's a bit difficult in the case of transportation and all . Students with private vehicles are not faced with this problems though. Its a bit far from city.
The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that
college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.
I choose this course because i have a strong interest in history and understanding past events, and culture and their impact on the present.the course curriculam is well structured and covers both core elective subjects, giving a balanced understanding of historical concepts.
There are few placement opportunities like infosys but we can't opt for high salary paying jobs.I am planning to complete mtech after graduating btech. There are many students with jobs from college selection but I don't like many jobs from college as per their salary
The faculity is generally experienced and supportive most students are satisfied. With the teaching clinical exposure. Facilities are friendly with the students. Regularly conducts class test and model exam to help students prepare for their studies and university examination. Faculties are high qualified and experienced
Most of the faculties are bds or mds graduated and well knowledged. Classes are mainly powerpoint presentation based and seminars. There are 2 internals and one model examination based on which qualification for university exam is determined.
I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
As I'm a first year student I've not got information about the placement but there are so many placement options from South Indian Bank, icici bank and also from companies like deliotte etc The college has connection with many international companies too.
Minimum criteria for placement is for a student with minimum arrears.Even though supply there if you have skill then you will be placed .Amal Jyothi has a better placement compared to other college and is very good
