BHU the oldest! Right place or not?

- The infrastructure is top notch from the outside...the old vibe is visible from each and every corner of the 1300 acres of campus.
- Campus life is good if you have good friends to hang out...there are major spots in bhu where you can chill...be it in vt that is vishwanath temple to stadiums to ag spot...that ia a pond side spot in campus.
Dislikes
- The faculties are very lazy soo the lectures were always borings and mostly skipped by the professors
- The office works needs you to be on your toes if any work of yours is stuck...because they follow proper sarkari protocol
Remarks :
There was an entrance that BHU used to conduct specifically but now its based on the CUET EXAM. I chose BHU because of the brand value it holds,basically everyone knows BHU and you do get respect out of it. The major factors were 1. Brand 2. Affordabilty 3. Campus is top notch 4. Native of Varanasi
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose commerce because I wanted to know the behinds of the company,how it functions,the numbers,the process everything. Bcom do have all these things in its curriculum,be it in marketing,economics,accounting etc.
Internships Opportunities :
I interned in the startup of my senior where my contribution was in content creation and data management. Internships wont come to you directly...if you are applying on your own then you can get one even at the name of BHU.
Placement Experience :
The placements after bcom is not that major but recently companies did hired from the department with packages around 3 to 4 lakh...the companies were Decathlon,ICICI lombard,hike edu. These were the companies at my time but most people opted put because generally bcom graduates target for mba or CA.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees is very nominal in BHU. During the start of the course the admission fees is somewhere around 3000 and later on in the odd semesters you need to pay close to 1500 and in the even semester somewhere around 600-700 which is the canteen budget nowadays.
Campus Life :
Campus life is decent...there arent many fests or activities in my college...overall IITbhu and the medical of bhu organises big events which are very very fun and big celebs are part of it...soo overall its quite decent. You gotta make friends most importantly to have an excellent social life.
Hostel Facilities :
I didnt opted for a hostel because I was a local but my friends were there and they had the best time of their lives. The mess of BHU is good compared to other colleges mess and based on the affosdabilty its very very cheap...living outside the campus will pinch your pockets...but hostel seats are very limited and you get the hostel based on your merit list and the distance from you city. You can apply at the time of admission through the portal only.

They were no campus place name because I opted for humanity degree and humanities degree comes with no direct placement after UG and it acquires greater and highest studies so right now I am doing my post graduation and the emploibility is very low

Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Placement Experience :
Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
