I choose this course due to my interest in the electronics and communication field. Our college have highly qualified teachers. Many of them are highly experienced and are very friendly. The semester exam approaches in 3-4 months. Two series examination is conducted before every semester examination and the internal marks are entered based on the marks. The series examination is a moderate level of exam with limited topics( say 2 modules), but the semester examination includes the entire topic and the question paper are prepared by external teachers. The answer sheet is also evaluated by the external teachers. The external exams are bit hard to score than the series exam. There will be a semester break of a month or more after every year.
I didn't choose any internship right now. College provides internship in last year of our course. Also students can opt for personal internships from different companies. Internships are good for those who tries to get placement from the campus.
For the placement many companies offer different criterias based on their requirements. Some prefer students with 7.5 cgpa and above. It solely depends upon the company. They also conduct interview to test the technological and communication skills. According to the interview the students are selected to different companies. Oru college offers an average placement of about 3 LPA. The highest package offered was 10 LPA.
The annual fees of the college is about 13280/- This includes fees like: Tuition fees=6300/- Admission fee=240/- Special fee =1740/- PD/AD=370/- CD=1000/- Bus fee=1300/- Student administration fee(KTU)=1050/- Arts and sports fee=530/- Affiliation fee=750/- The SC/ST/OEC candidates only have to pay 2300(CD and bus fee). Beyond these a sum of 1800? is to be paid at the end of semester exam as examination fee(KTU). This may vary according to semester. 1800? was the amount I paid in the first semester. SC/ST/OEC candidates have fee concession.
Since our college is situated in the city the space in our college is limited when compared to other government colleges. Even though it has good infrastructure facilities clean drinking water, chemical lab, computer lab, civil lab, mechanical lab, library and so on. Our college does not have a sports ground so we rely on the polytechnic ground for sports activities which is situated near our college. Nearly all the books for the academics are available in oru college library also there are department wise library for every department. Also the college has several clubs like National Service Scheme, IEEE,SHE, IEDC, ISTE, SI. Which helps students to involve in social and academic activities.
Oru college does not have a mens hostel. It only have a ladies hostel that too with limited numbers of rooms. So many students stay on private hostels. Most of the hostels would have a fee of 5000-5500? per month including food. The food quality in our hostel is good. Also we have free wifi and clean drinking water facility, cleaning at each weak and so on.
The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that
college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.
I choose this course because i have a strong interest in history and understanding past events, and culture and their impact on the present.the course curriculam is well structured and covers both core elective subjects, giving a balanced understanding of historical concepts.
There are few placement opportunities like infosys but we can't opt for high salary paying jobs.I am planning to complete mtech after graduating btech. There are many students with jobs from college selection but I don't like many jobs from college as per their salary
The faculity is generally experienced and supportive most students are satisfied. With the teaching clinical exposure. Facilities are friendly with the students. Regularly conducts class test and model exam to help students prepare for their studies and university examination. Faculties are high qualified and experienced
Most of the faculties are bds or mds graduated and well knowledged. Classes are mainly powerpoint presentation based and seminars. There are 2 internals and one model examination based on which qualification for university exam is determined.
I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
As I'm a first year student I've not got information about the placement but there are so many placement options from South Indian Bank, icici bank and also from companies like deliotte etc The college has connection with many international companies too.
Minimum criteria for placement is for a student with minimum arrears.Even though supply there if you have skill then you will be placed .Amal Jyothi has a better placement compared to other college and is very good
