- Nift gives creative freedom to it's students, the liberty to explore their creativity and experiment with designs and learning to work with different materials and mediums. From live classes to field visits and workshops and industry exposure. Nift students learn through hustling and working not just by theory. The college has a very veryyy vast network around the globe and provides a lot of opportunities.
- Nift has students from all over india (and beyond) which enhances creativity and critical thinking of students. We have a subject called lecture series where people who have already achieved something in their lives like entrepreneurs, small business owners, karigars etc. This subject is really good to have your curious minds calm down and understand how what we study is actually carried out in real life. Every assignment given gives you the freedom to explore yourself and your creativity even more.
Dislikes
- The workload and deadlines keeps you suffering alot. Sometimes they can be toooooo overwhelming and you might cry but this is what makes nift students shine even better.
- Limited focus on mental health. The life at nift is difficult and you can survive only if you're hard working. And this work gets overwhelming at times which causes a lot of stree and anxiety and the faculty is not that concerned about your health and mental health.
Remarks :
1.there is no other best college for designing other than NIFT in India. The experienced faculty and creative minds that you get here is no match to any other college. and hence the reason of me choosing this college. 2. The college is great The faculty is world class Too experienced worked with national and international events and people, you won't get it anywhere else. 3.To get admission you'll have to go through NIFT ENTRANCE EXAM in which you'll have to sit for three rounds. CAT ( creative ability test) ,GAT (general ability test) and ST (situation test).For CAT you'll have to study drawing, sketching, perspective, designing, colour theory etc. They judge you on your creativity. For GAT you'll have to study maths, reasoning, gK, current affairs and english. These two exams take place together in a single day. A break is given in between. Once you get the results of these two and if you've passed it then you'll have to sit for ST where you'll have to create a 3D model
Course Curriculum Overview :
1. I've chose F&LA department to get the theoretical and practical knowledge of the world of accessories. It aligns with my passion for creativity, intricate detailing, wearable art and unique crafting. 2. The faculty are PHD holders itself and are very knowledgeable in their fields. Many faculty have experience with industry and gives valuable insights to their students. We get to go on visits to have a better understanding of a particular subjects. But sometimes the problem we face is due to large nunber of students and batches the one on one teaching becomes difficult. 3.We B. Des students don't have any written exams we have Jury which is kind of interview where your work that you've done in a semester is displayed and jury panel comes and give you constructive feedbacks and marks. For B. Ft students they have written exams. The jury of first semester is often goes smoothly as students are new to course but you're taught how to present your work in jury to jury panel and people
Internships Opportunities :
I'm a first year student amd don't know much about it so i choose not to answer this in order to avoid miscommunication of information. I will love to provide the information onve i have the knowledge.
Placement Experience :
I'm a first year student in foundation year and don't know much about it so i can't share the information but the website don't provide me with the option. I prefer not to share this as i don't have enough knowledge about it.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
1. The year wise fees will cost you around 3.2lakhs. you'll have to pay other fees like medical fees, security deposit (refundable),library fees, exam fees etc. It won't be taken again in 2 semester but yes you will have to pay exam, medical and library fees every year. In total including all these chargee will cost you 3.2lakhs for first year. Alumini association fees will be taken from you in your 7th semester. 2. There is no advantage of fees even if you belong to any category. 3.The college provides it's own scholarship called SARTHAK. The process of applying for sarthak is very lengthy and requires so many documents. As for needs other than financial documents you have to submit your marksheet of 10th 12th but there is no such %age boundage. Once you complete the first round of sarthak you'll have to sit for an interview and the panel will question you and once you pass that round the fees relaxation is given to you in 25% to 100% fees relaxation.
Campus Life :
1.Life at campus is pretty cool. To be honest straight out of karan johar's movie. Glamour, fun, drama nift is a package of everything. 2. We have clubs here like photography, sports, environment, ethics, literary, cultural club etc. 3. The infrastructure of college is pretty good, alot of ventilation and facilities are provided to us. Huge campus, a lot of greenery, huge classrooms with projectors and big windows and lights.
Hostel Facilities :
1. Yes I've opted for a girl's hostel. The hostel is pretty good. Room a double sharing non ac rooms. In the room two beds, two desks and chairs and two wardrobe will be provided. One almirah or locker is provided which is kept outside the room. Room is very well lit very well ventilated. The didis come daily to clean our rooms and washrooms are washed daily along with the corridor. They've taken very good care of ventilation and cleanliness. 3. To apply for the college you have to pay the fees of the hostel and mail the transaction id/number and utr number. When you come to hostel physically you have to visit the finance department and get the receipt from there. And that's it! You have your room! 3. I've not rented any room or PG outside but there is Greenbay where most of our seniors lives in a flat. When you come to nift bhopal for physical admission you can stay at playotel.it's a hotel you can stay there.

Placement and job opportunity is good in this college around 60% placed before start of 7th semester and 90% placed till end of 8th semester. Various company like Amazon , tcs , infosys , etc visit the campus. Highest package till now is 44 lpa and average is 6.5 lpa
Life at School Of Commerce, Devi Ahilya University

The placement is quite quite good as year on years recently the placement was goes 57LPA to 75LPA and teh avg was 7-8LPA and median is 10LPA something. The college have 100% placement record every year and they also give grants and loans for students who wants to startup. But the internship support is zero like college are only focused on placement they are not foucing on internship.
An unexpected journey

I would like to say there are more job openings and internship programmes we had than a private college for both Graduates and Masters students. job openings in TCS/ banks and industries too. The thing is you need to put effort to grab a good opportunity. attain placements opening whenever you got notification from college groups. be prepared. ask your teacher to clear more doubts. However, I am the one who already had a job so I did not take from there because I was working in tech mahindra and its work from home in my favourate feild.

There's a good amount of placement opportunities but the only minus point is the Training and placement department is same for the other branches of this college such as Lakshmi Naraine college of Technology and science bhopal

If you are focused on your studies you can get really good opportunities here as companies like accenture,TCS, Wipro and Tata Mahindra come here every year and many more companies too. The college provides training and placement classes from 2nd year onwards.

MBBS a rollercoaster ????

MBBS is concerned there is no issue with placement. As none of the doctors are jobless. And obviously placements are good one can work in well esteemed organization after just MBBS but more people prefer to opt PG course.
