- My college offers a well rounded academic and social experience making it agreat place for growth.The infrastructure is equipped with smart boards and projectors in classrooms, enhancing interactive learning.while the seating arrangements are decent, confort could be inmproved, especially for longer classes.the college provides access to libraries and computer labs but the digital resources could be expanded.The faculty is highly experienced and approachable, offering valuable guidance and industry insights, parti In civil engineering.the professors are supportive, helping students grow academically and professionally.
- Campus life is vibrant,with numerous events and clubs for both technical and cultural activities.i’ve been involved in technical workshops and many co curricular programs which have contributed to my personal and leadership development.The college provides 100% placement opportunities for civil engineering students and internships have significantly improved my technical skills especially in autoCAD.these internships have been invaluable for my career development.
Dislikes
- While my college provides solid academic foundation and valuable opportunities,there are several areas where improvements are needed.firstly,the seating arrangements in my classroom lack comfort,especially during long lectures.this can impact focus and overall concentration,making it challenging to fully engage in classes for extended periods.Another issue is the limited availability of digital resources in the library.while physical books and resources are available,the college could greatly benefit from expanding access to online journals,research papers and specialized digital content,particularly for field like civil engineering.
- Hostel life also has its shortcomings.while the rooms are spacious and Wi-Fi is available, the food quality falls below expectations, making it difficult for students to maintain a healthy and enjoyable diet.additionally, the cleaning schedule, which occurs only once a week, isn’t frequent enough to maintain the cleanliness standards students would expect, which can affect comfort and hygiene.
Remarks :
It is generally assumed that going to college is the best pathway to a lucrative and rewarding career and there is no doubt that a college education is beneficial in most cases.but in my case i face so many problems because i have to stay away from my home because my college was away from my home.the infrastructure and facilities provided my college are top notch and provides a good environment for me to improve my technical skills but the number of qualified teachers are less which limit us from having a vast and better knowledge about that particular subject. Admission process was very smooth and we had semester exams which is quite good to improve skills.The preparation i’ve done to complete these exams were just going through my lecture notes and i saved some time every day for studying purpose only which made me understand every topic that had been taken on a daily basis.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I am student pursuing BTech in civil engineering and i took this course because civil engineering is open to many career opportunities and handles different types of construction projects like roadways, railways, skyscrapers, urban establishments, agricultural storages etc..and i was really interested in getting to know these all.faculties also provide good and they created a positive environment where students including me felt comfortable participating in many skill based events.every faculty had completed their Mtech and many more which makes them a really apt person to help us improve our skills. Two internal exams will be conducting before the main exams. The main exam are conducted at the end of every semester so we’ll be having 2 main exams and 4 internal exams in total for an year.internal exams were kind of easy but main exams were a bit hard but still manageable.
Internships Opportunities :
My college provides excellent internship opportunities for students with 100% placement guarantee for second year civil engineering students. I have been fortunate enough to be offered two internships that have given me a solid foundation in the civil engineering field. The first internship I undertook was focused on improving my proficiency in AutoCAD . The second internship I participated in provided broader experience, focusing on the execution of construction projects.I was placed with a team responsible for overseeing the designing and renovation of KSRTC bus stand Thrissur. Additionally the internship programs at my college students to explore various specializations within Civil Engineering. Whether focusing on design , construction etc has given me opportunities to learn and improve. The internship I have undertaken have provided me with invaluable hands on exposure to the civil engineering field enhancing my technical abilities and preparing for the challenges of the industry
Placement Experience :
At my college,the academic environment is both challenging and rewarding.As a civil engineering student,i’m exposed to a range of subjects from structural analysis to material science.internships have been a crucial part of my learning journey.My college provides 100% placement opportunities and i have already been offers two internships till now within my second year.these internships have significantly boosted my technical skills,particularly in autoCAD,which is vital for designing and drafting in civil engineering.they’ve also given me a pratical understanding of the industry,enabling me to apply theoretical concepts to real-world scenarios.students are selectes through an interview for placements.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The year wise fee i paid was 30000 for a year.now i am 2nd year student pursuing btech in civil engineering.the tuition fee is 15000 for a semester.caution deposit was 10000.registration fee and admission fee was 500/-. Most my batchmates are paying same fee as me but some of them are getting Scholarships like VVM,E-gratz etc.. also student who got in through merit seat doesn’t have to pay donation.The student who had VVM scholarships paid zero fee which was really helpful for that students and also E-grantz also provided whole fees.some students took education loans also.
Campus Life :
My life at college seems dynamic and multifacetes, blending academic pursuits, social engagements and extracurricular activities.we had Hola Nirmalites freshers day which was conducted on October 4th and it was a testament to our communication skills.sports and arts also conducted for students to portray and improve their skills.As an engineering and civil students interacting with diverse individuals likely exposes me to different perspectives enriching my social experience.The library facilities in my college are not that well equipped.It does have a good collection of books for civil engineering but resources to technical journals. My College provides essential tech amenities like smart boards and projectors in my classroom which are great for interactige learning.the low comfort level due to poor seating kind of effect long study sessions or lectures.assocations and clubs are run by students and workshops are conducted on college on autoCAD for students to improve their skills
Hostel Facilities :
My college hostel offers a decent infrastructure and spacious rooms and Wi-Fi,which is great for academic and leisure needs.However the food quality and limited cleaning schedule could be areas for improvement.we are paying a monthly fee of 5900/- and an amount of 59000/- a for an year this includes accommodation and food.the quality of food is somewhat okay,even if it’s not top notch.despite these shortcomings my hostel provides a decent foundation for my studies and personal time.the food wuality being just okay requires us to adapt by either bringing our own food,ordering from nearby places etc..many of my friends and rooms find ways to balance hostel meals with food from outside to make experience more manageable.

Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.

I choose this course because i have a strong interest in history and understanding past events,and culture and their impact on the present.the course curriculam is well structured and covers both core elective subjects,giving a balanced understanding of historical concepts.

There are few placement opportunities like infosys but we can't opt for high salary paying jobs.I am planning to complete mtech after graduating btech.There are many students with jobs from college selection but I don't like many jobs from college as per their salary

I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
