I didn’t had a good score in CAT. i chose this college through CMAT and got International Business programme. The cut off for CMAT exam for International Business is 90%. I cleared the cutoff and then got a Interview call. The questions for internview verr basic HR questions from my CV and then a extempore topic related to Labour Laws. After joining the college, I had a good one month. However it was very hectic as an MBA programme would be..but we had an amazing experience for the first trimester. Then it got a little bad for me and others too. The reality of placements and internships is too harsh. There are no internships as such available..little companies come and they take around 2-3 students only and it’s very difficult to find a spot for you.
The curriculum of the course is really very good. In this aspect I would say our college is very very good. We have a rigorous curriculum which allows us to gain practical knowledge with studies. We have a lot of industry visits and a port visit too which is national as well as international port visit which gives a good amount of experience to the students out of the class. There are a lot of industries Gd and PI to practice and become regular to the processes. The teachers here are also very good and would say that they are very supportive and helpful in every aspect. Some of the faculty are average, but majorly the teachers are good. Our college management has changed since our batch and it’s very difficult for us to manage this year. Exams in our college happen every three months as we follow a trimester system. The difficulty level of the exams is moderate, it’s not difficult to pass these exams. It’s very easy to pass the exams and score a good CGPA.
I applied for internships here but didn’t got any of the internships. I have opted Pgdm IB in Finance. For finance only 3-4 good companies came till now like KPMG, Oxane, Crisil etc. For marketing there are more comapnies than for finance. Companies like Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail, 99Acres, Volvo, Bajaj Allianz, Morphedo etc. These companies take around 2-3 students each. And it’s very difficult to get placed out of a batch of 500 students. The insurance program offers the best internships out of all the programs in our college. The retail management program also offers on the jon training’s which are provided to students by the college side only.
The placemnents scenario right now is not going good. I think because the market is down . The management of the college has changed recently so it’s difficult for them too to get good placements as the previous management was there for a long time. The eligibility criteria for placements are on the basis of your CGPA in college. If you get 7+ cgpa you are mostly safe for all the companies to shortlist you. The campnies that visited the campus for our seniors placements are EY, WIPRO, KPMG, OXANE, MARSH, VOLVO, UNIQULO, MINISO, SBI, TATA AIG, DELOITTLE, HDFC, BLACK ROCK and others. They all offer a package of around 8-9 lakhs per annum. Except of BLACK ROCK, which offers around 20 lakhs per annum. For marketing role the campies are great, for finance there are less companies and HR has very less companies coming for placements. I would say the insurance and Retail management program of our college are the best out of the four programs offered. My plans are to get a placement.
Total Fees of the course is 18,00,000 Tuition Fees is 14,00,000 And Hostel and mess fees is 4,00,000. This is for international business and PGDM CORE. Pgdm Insurance/Retail has total tuition fees 13,00,000. Till now I had paid 10,00,000 including the tuition and mess and hostel fees together. These are payable in installments per trimester. There are other charges too like insurance and other security deposits. There are a lot of scholarships available in the college, the highest scholarship that a studeng gets is around 7 lakhs. Which is provided to people who have CAT percentage over 95%. Other many scholarships are also available like the positions you get in the trimester in your batch.
There is no campus or social life here I would say. There were a lot of fests and events which were conducted till the last year but this year since the management changed, all these fests and events have been majorly canceled. So there are only 2-3 events that happened since I joined the college. The major fest is VIHAAN which happens February. I am a part of Alumni conduit and we conducted the major event which was REFLECTIONS and it also got cancelled. The library of our college is very good I would say. The amount of books and journals available is very amazing and you would find many other sources through our college library to study like some online websites for free and all. Sports events are conducted in the college and majorly all the sports from chess to football to cricket and all are played and we have matches with the seniors. There are a lot of clubs and conduits, but since events are not happening now so they are a little less active.
The food in the mess is good. I would not complain about the food. The menu of the food has a lot of options, like in a single meal you will have enough options to choose from what you want to eat. We are provided food four times a day- 1.Breakfast 2.Lunch 3.Snacks 4.Dinner. The thing that I love the most is the mess here. The hostels are compulsory here as we have a residential program. The girls are staying inside the campus and the boys are staying outside the campus. The rooms are good for seniors I would say since they’re staying in single rooms. Juniors are staying in double sharing rooms. There is 1 washroom per four persons. That’s about girls hostel. The quality of boys hostel is very poor. It seems like they’re living in hell. I don’t like the rooms and the mess they are provided with. We are not allowed to rent a PG or room in Bimtech. The hostel and mess fees for two years is around 4,00,000.
They were no campus place name because I opted for humanity degree and humanities degree comes with no direct placement after UG and it acquires greater and highest studies so right now I am doing my post graduation and the emploibility is very low
The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.
Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
There are regular placement drives that are conducted on a monthly basis. We have regular updates for campus placement drives that are shared with us and we can participate in them to choose the best options for ourselves.
Galgotias University has a high placement rate with the current tenures placement reaching 5500+ job offers. The highest package was 60LPA and the average goes between 5LPA. The university has a dedicated placement cell and also an well developed student led e-cell. There are many internship opportunities as well both India and abroad.
Galgotias University has a very strong placement cell and more then 200 companies like Infosys, josh technology, Capgemini and many more have made given the placement offer to students and highest package is of 60 LPA
The placement are nice, this year the Highest package was of 60 Lakh and the Average package was of 5.4 Lakh. There are a lot of internships oppourtinity also so you get to experience Industry work during you 3rd year which gives you a heads up.
Our course provides internship for every student from the first year onwards as it is mandatory for everyone to do an internship from the 1st year , it also provides best placement for student who wanted to go in corporate filed ,the Highest package till now is 8lpa and lowest is 3.6 lpa and Average package is between 4 to 6 lpa
B.Tech computer Science engineering is very tech driven field which , by the assistance of new tech driven laboratories, latest generation technology focused curriculum, is very remarkable field to study and progress in.
Placements and job opportunities at Galgotias university are good. Students become eligible according to their course requirements and academic performance. Many healthcare companies and hospitals visit for placements and internships. After completing B.Sc Nursing, my plan is to work in a good hospital, gain experience and grow in the healthcare field.
