I chose this college mainly because it’s in my hometown and is one of the best CAPE - affiliated institutions, especially for CSE, IT, and Mechanical Engineering. The admission process was straightforward — everything happens through the KEAM entrance exam. There were no group discussions or interviews, just the KEAM rank-based allotment. KEAM itself isn’t too difficult if you prepare well. A decent rank can secure you a seat in the Merit quota.
The teachers here are well-qualified and knowledgeable. The pacing of the lessons is sometimes a bit fast, but if you stay attentive and put in the effort, it’s easy to keep up. Most of them are approachable, and if you have doubts, they’re always willing to help. Labs are well-organized, especially for programming and electronics-related subjects, making learning more hands-on. Term exams are always conducted on time as per the KTU schedule, and the difficulty level is moderate. If you keep up with classes and practice regularly, it’s manageable
There are two admission categories—Merit and Management. If you get in through the Merit quota (which depends on your KEAM rank), the yearly tuition fee is around ?45,000. For the Management quota, it’s about ?75,000, and there’s also an NRI quota with a higher fee of ?1,00,000 per year. Apart from tuition, there are other charges like an admission fee, caution deposit, lab and library fees, and PTA contributions, which make up the total cost. As for scholarships, my college offers quite a few, and some of my friends have benefited from them. There’s E-Grantz for SC/ST/OEC students, the Merit Cum Means Scholarship for minority students, and the Suvarna Jubilee Merit Scholarship for students from BPL families. There’s also the E.K. Nayanar Co-operative Scholarship, which gives ?15,000 per year to eligible students. So, if you meet the criteria, you can definitely get some financial assistance to ease the burden.
Campus life at the College of Engineering, Thalassery (COET) is vibrant and full of exciting events. There’s always something happening, whether it’s cultural fests, technical competitions, or workshops. The biggest tech fest, Agnitus, brings in students from all over, making it a great place to showcase innovation and technical skills.
The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that

I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.
I choose this course because i have a strong interest in history and understanding past events, and culture and their impact on the present.the course curriculam is well structured and covers both core elective subjects, giving a balanced understanding of historical concepts.
There are few placement opportunities like infosys but we can't opt for high salary paying jobs.I am planning to complete mtech after graduating btech. There are many students with jobs from college selection but I don't like many jobs from college as per their salary
The faculity is generally experienced and supportive most students are satisfied. With the teaching clinical exposure. Facilities are friendly with the students. Most of the faculties are bds or mds graduated and well knowledged. Classes are mainly powerpoint presentation based and seminars. There are 2 internals and one model examination based on which qualification for university exam is determined.
