My honest review on College of Agriculture Tvm.
Likes
- The teaching faculties are really good and supportive.
- We have an amazing library with all the required study materials for our studies as well as for competitive examinations.
- Also we have an amazing college life in this beautiful campus.
Dislikes
- Unfortunately we have classes on Saturdays too and that's what I dislike the most.
- Also we have all the exams in a single go..that is just after the internals,the practicals as well as externals will come..and that is a really stressful period.Apart from this time everything is really cool.
Remarks :
I entered the college after appearing for the Neet examination and based on the score,I was able to achieve a merit seat.There were different cut offs for various categories..at that time it was around 500 and now it has increased a bit due to high level of competition. Talking about the college it is a very beautiful campus with a serene environment and experienced faculties. Last week we were awarded as the best college of Kau and one of our professors was awarded as the best teacher in kau.It is truly a proud moment. This college not only focuses on academics but also on extracurricular activities.We are blessed with a well furnished indoor stadium and college ground for our students. In short it is one of the best colleges for agriculture aspirants.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Most if our teachers are PhD scholars and they are well versed in their subjects. We have both theory as well as practical classes. In theory usually PowerPoint presentations are followed and in practicals we are made to do the works individually to understand the concepts in depth. We have semester wise exams,which includes an internal exam,a practical exam and the finals/University exam. Internals and practicals are conducted by our professors while the finals are conducted by the University which is a common question paper for all the colleges. The finals are usually tougher as compared to the internals.So it is better to score more in our internals(as half the marks are taken from the internals).
Internships Opportunities :
For the last 2 years students are doing their last yr internships at CIMMYT Hyderabad and some of the other institutes too.Only the 4th year students are able to do the internships as we are not having any regular class during the last year.
Placement Experience :
Placement cells are functional and many of the seniors got job through it. Also the college is offering internships to students to some of the international institutions like cimmyt. Like me most of the students are aspiring to do their post graduation after the course while some are looking for jobs in both government as well as private sectors.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Actually when I joined the course,the fees was around 15000 per year. But now it has increased to 27580 ie, almost the double.But ofcourse the fees is comparatively cheaper as compared to other Agriculture universities. Speaking about the fees structure, we have 2 semesters in each year ie, we have to pay the fees separately for each semesters ie,13790 each. For each semester for Gen/Obc categories Tuition fee - 7875 Semester exam fee- 675 Special fee - 1695 Insurance- 95 Kalpadhenu magazine(annual subscription)- 200 Rent for hostel-2500 Water charge-750 Hence a total of 13790/- * For Sc/St/Oec/ObcH students only the insurance and magazine fee are charged. Ofcourse few scholarships are provided for students who are facing financial issues like Egrants,C H Muhammad Koya scholarship and so on.
Campus Life :
We have a fest named lake fest. Alongwith it we have many other celebrations like onam Christmas and ethnic day. We have a huge library with all the newest books. We have an Intercollegiate arts as well as sports every year..in which we are the overall sports champions for the last 10 years. We have many clubs like biodiversity club,farmers club,reading club and so on.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel fees is about 16000 every semesters. We are given a room of 4 every year.The hostel is situated inside the campus itself,and it is really close to our classrooms. Food is okay but not that great..but we will get used to it eventually.

The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that

college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs

Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.

I choose this course because i have a strong interest in history and understanding past events,and culture and their impact on the present.the course curriculam is well structured and covers both core elective subjects,giving a balanced understanding of historical concepts.

There are few placement opportunities like infosys but we can't opt for high salary paying jobs.I am planning to complete mtech after graduating btech.There are many students with jobs from college selection but I don't like many jobs from college as per their salary

I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
