- College is very big with many facilities. Railway station is very near. Infrastructure is pretty good. Almost 20 hostel blocks are for boys and 10 for girls. Very crowded campus. Good college life as there are daily some event goes on in campus.
- Studies are good. Placements are also good but this year it’s not that good especially for vellore students as there are more people in other vit campuses. Centralized placements are done so chennai, vit-ap and bhopal also included in placements. Very bad placement record this year for vit-vellore. They should reduce strength of students. It will help a lot.
Dislikes
- Heavy strength , heavy intake. No place for students to stay in hostels. Sometimes freshers are thrown in dormitories which are no lesser than hospital morgues with no basic amenities . So hot down there with only fans and no air conditioning. Collective bathrooms which are the worst. Not at all clean. Freshers beware who are joining vit vellore. Not at all suggested.
- Very restricted campus especially for girls. Outing period only for two hours daily for girls. For boys they don’t care. Gate closing time in hostels is at 9pm. For girls it’s 8.30pm. For outing it’s 7pm. For girls, even if they came one min late, they are charged with fine of 100 per minute. Pathetic management. Placements are worst this year. Because of huge crowd and huge competition, no proper opportunities for students. Vit-vellore students are not getting jobs at all. No special care for main campus students.
Remarks :
I faired poorly in JEE Mains so I wrote many private entrance exams. Manipal and VIT are the two colleges I got into. I chose VIT as it has less fees(3 lakhs) and nearer to my home. There were no group discussions or interviews, just a test(VITEEE) for admission. The cutoff changes every year. At my time,CSE core had a cutoff of 3000 rank. I generally prepared for all entrance exams collectively and I got into VIT and Manipal in CSE Specializations.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose CSE because I have an interest in computer science and I wanted to become a software engineer. Most of the faculty were very experienced there and they were all doctorate holders in their respective fields with an amazing research background. Teaching method is fine. Term exams include 2 internal exams and one final exam with some assessments and quizzes included. The exams were easy to moderate as they give questions related to what they teach in class.
Placement Experience :
Placements are good. Eligibility is no backlogs until 7th sem and cgpa above 6. Tcs, cognizant, wipro, infosys, lti mindtree, google, phonepe, zomato, AbInbev, swiggy, Ford, Honda, Big4 companies are some of the companies that visited our campus. Nearly 800 companies visited our campus last year. This year, around 500 visited. Highest package is 1cr and average package is 7.84lpa. As of now, 8000 students got placed out of 14000 students registered for placements this year. 70-80% people get placed. I just got a placement so I’ll do job.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure of a student is based on the student’s performance in VITEEE which is the entrance exam to get an admission in VIT. According to rank, fee is decided for the student. There are 5 categories. 2,3,4,4.5,5 lakhs. I got a rank of 4975 and got 2nd category in CSE Specialization in IoT. There are no scholarships or reservation quotas. About management quota I have no idea.
Campus Life :
The annual cultural fest is Riviera. It’s conducted in every February end. Many celebrities visit in this four-day fest. Library is very huge with a huge amount of books and vast collections of magazines and journals related to all fields they teach. Classrooms are non-AC but labs are AC rooms. There is a huge ground in boys hostel to play whatever they want and coming to extracurricular activities, there are around 200 clubs and chapters where we can join and do our work. Almost all social groups and clubs are run by students only.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel mess is fine. Food is all good actually . 4 times a week non-veg. There are three kinds of messes. Special, non-veg and veg. You can opt what kind of hostel rooms you want by your gpa or your friend’s gpa. Higher gpa gives you more priority for selecting good rooms and blocks.

Placements are good like when you rech the 4th semester you will be told to register the Placement portal and you will be charged 5000 to register in that Placement portal after that people from good companies or professional Placement trainers will come and train you give you classes the classes will be there until 5th semester end. After that many Placement offers will come to you in your given emails and you will be able to apply in those companies if you are eligible they will contact you. Internship offers the staffs itself give all the active Internship details in the college whatsapp group it will be created once your classes begin.

Placement Experience :
The eligibilty varies it's better to no arrears during placements average package could 3.5LPA Around 60 percent is placed I got placed. IN our college there are various companies that come for placemrnt like Capegimini, hcl, wipro, airtel, Ericcson.
Good college and value for money
Placement Experience :
Around 70% of the students from this course got placed, which is kinda decent I think. The highest package went up to 21 LPA and the lowest was around 5 LPA. Some of the main companies that came for recruitment were TCS, Zoho and Wipro. For internships also, students got chances in companies like Zoho, Amazon and Wipro. Most of the roles offered were related to HR, not much technical roles from what I heard.

The faculty of this college is good there are strick and the curriculum are good and every one in the college will face 2 test before the main exam internal test one and internal test 2 are the two test and practical will be taken place a side

The fee structure in the college is high and for different course the fee is different for ELECTRONIC AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING I am paying ?90000 and for bus ? 16000 and someone in my class is paying ?125000 so not everyone is paying the same amount in the college
