GEC Thrissur is one of the top engineering college in Kerala. Here we have lots of programs, functions, teckfests, and many enjoyable moments. For getting admitted to the college one have to clear KEAM entrance exam with good marks. The atmosphere in college is very good. The senior students are very friendly.
Becoming a mechanical engineer was one of my biggest dream. The faculties available here include M.Tech graduates, PhD scholars, etc. Teaching methods are very good varying from person to person. Two series exams are conducted per semester which include lab exams . Two end semester exams are conducted per year.
I haven't done anything internship yet as I am a second year student . I am planning to do internship in different companies with the help of faculties. Faculties are very supportive for this and help to get internships and guide us.
Placement in the college varies year by year. Each year one new company arrives for placement with high packages which include MRF, Plant Lipids etc. Placement eligibility is different for each company as some company demands for no arrear during entire course and some demand for no current arrear.
We have to pay around 6000 per semester which include exam fees and other fees.Other category like SC,ST have fee consitions. Also students will get scholarships during the time period. Many other scholarships are also available for different categories.
Life at GEC is very good on the campus and off the campus. There are many clubs which are free to join and helps to make new connections. Various projects are done by students . Overall the college is highly entertaining and engaging.
I haven't applied for hostel. As of my knowledge hostel mess is hygienic and healthy in low budget. For getting admission in college hostel one should have good marks in semester exams and should have low income.
The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that
college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.
I choose this course because i have a strong interest in history and understanding past events, and culture and their impact on the present.the course curriculam is well structured and covers both core elective subjects, giving a balanced understanding of historical concepts.
There are few placement opportunities like infosys but we can't opt for high salary paying jobs.I am planning to complete mtech after graduating btech. There are many students with jobs from college selection but I don't like many jobs from college as per their salary
The faculity is generally experienced and supportive most students are satisfied. With the teaching clinical exposure. Facilities are friendly with the students. Regularly conducts class test and model exam to help students prepare for their studies and university examination. Faculties are high qualified and experienced
Most of the faculties are bds or mds graduated and well knowledged. Classes are mainly powerpoint presentation based and seminars. There are 2 internals and one model examination based on which qualification for university exam is determined.
I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
As I'm a first year student I've not got information about the placement but there are so many placement options from South Indian Bank, icici bank and also from companies like deliotte etc The college has connection with many international companies too.
Minimum criteria for placement is for a student with minimum arrears.Even though supply there if you have skill then you will be placed .Amal Jyothi has a better placement compared to other college and is very good
