Personally, considering it was built in 2016 and had been barely properly started after 2020-2021, the college is much better compared to other colleges. The environment depends on the senior most batches so when I entered the college I had a good environment. Since my branch is CSE, I found the startup culture and coding environment quiet helpful. The college has qualified staff although still lacking in other branches but they're well maintained for core branches. The cut off criteria is lower than other states and you also get reservation for girls. You may also enter through lateral entry since 5 seats are reserved on top of 60 seats for each branch. The cut off may vary based on the branch. Highest cut off is for CSE followed by CSE (AI & ML) and other branches. I got in through direct JEE councilling and only had to verify documents to get in. No long procedure but it was tiresome since the working was very slow. Took an entire day.
All the faculty members are required to have qualified multiple exams such as BPSC or must have completed their phDs. Lab assistants are also well qualified and usually helpful. Mid terms are the same level as the end sem examinations usually. The difficulty is moderate but sometimes there are out of syllabus questions in end sems, although less compared to previous years, they're well balanced most of the times now. Exams are usually done timely. I personally chose this course because I was interested in it and didn't want to compramise my branch. Many labs still lack proper equipments and WMP lab isn't really there at all but talks are there about it's installation in the near future.
Internships used to be provided through college until last year but now you're pretty much on your own. I have interned under a few startups and freelancing but they've been done on my own not through college.
The placement isn't very high but they're alright. It honestly depends on the students, there are students from this college who've ranked in top 30 2024 GATE but also few who are still struggling with unemployment. Placements are not to be relied on through college, personally you should opt for off campus placement for a good package unless you're okay with an average of 2-5lpa ones.
There are 3-4 types of fees. Tuition fees for General/OBC are 120 per semester, while SC/ST students pay lower or nil. Admission fees are around 2000 per semester for all. Hostel fees are 7200 per semester, with three girls sharing a room. High-performing students may get single rooms in 3rd/4th year. The mess, privately managed, costs around 3300 per month, but tiffin services and canteens are alternatives. Exam forms cost 3700 (General/OBC) and 700 (SC/ST). Being a government college in Bihar, a residential and category certificate is needed for scholarships like PMS, which provides 15,000-17,000 per year based on merit. Interest-free loans are also available.
The college ranks among the top 10 in Bihar with a strong startup culture, boasting 3+ successful startups. The coding environment is active, with frequent hackathons involving 50+ teams. New faculty have enhanced growth, ensuring weekly seminars and events. While the library provides course books, it lacks extra materials, but has ACs and high-speed WiFi. Open on working days from 10 AM to 7-8 PM.
In my clg placemant offer upon your grades or good internship like teir one or teir 2 but most of the olacement are joined by your self and there is nothing to say. If u have good internship, so u defenetely for clg oalcement.
Almost 50 to 60 percent students got placed up to their final examination and their average package is 4.5 LPA. The college offers internships also.some internships are paid and some are unpaid of them.
Placements for Mechatronics and Automation are average. Mostly service based and few automation or manufacturing companies visit the campus. Eligibility for placements is usually 60% aggregate with no backlogs. Some recruiters offer roles like graduate trainee, automation trainee and quality roles. Core branch offers are limited. Highest and average package is moderate and depends on company and role. Around 80% students get placed through campus. After completing my degree, I plan to improve my skills, do certifications and try for off-campus jobs in core automation field or go for higher studies.
faculty elected through Bihar government exam. their teacher method is really poor. one mid term exam including of attendance mark and project marks and one external exam 70 marks.exam level is not much difficult.

In BCA department placement are very good for students . Many companies like TCS , mahindra , wipro , and many local companies come in our campus for placement cell for students . Average package is around 4 lacs and maximum package is around 10 lacs in BCA department.
no placements in core and tech companies. only sales companies visit which gives a package of around 4 lpa. few civil branch companies also visit and offer roles to 4-5 students.no internships are provided ,students have to search it on their own.
The course curriculum is quite outdated. 75% attendance is mandatory to give exams. Faculties are overall good and supportive in ECE branch. Every faculty is well qualified, most of them are phd degree holders or pursuing PhD from a reputed institute like IIT,NITs. End semester Exams occur every 5-6 months. And mid term is held between the semesters. ( One mid term each semester).Exams are quite difficult as it is not an autonomous University.End semester copy checking is not done properly. Improper markings are given to few students.
