NMC Patna was established in 1970. The college is affiliated with Aryabhatta Knowledge University, Patna and it is also recognized by the MCI.

NMC offers MBBS as its flagship course. The total fee for MBBS is INR 60K. The eligibility criteria is that the candidate should have passed the 10+2 from a recognized board with 50% marks in the PCB stream. The selection process is based on the NEET examination followed by BCECE counselling session. The college also offers Paramedical Science with specialization in 4 areas. NMC Patna offers MD & MS with various specializations in its postgraduate courses. The fee for both programs is INR 15K. The eligibility criteria for the PG course is that the candidate must have an MBBS degree or a Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate recognized by the MCI. The selection process is based on the 50th percentile in NEET PG followed by a BCECE counselling session. The NEET PG Cutoff 2024 for the general category is 1812 - 82494 for Round I.
