Ans. MBBS students do not have any dress code at AIIMS Patna. However, there are some rules that the students must follow. No jeans or flip-flops are allowed to be worn. The students must look clean and crisp at all times.

• Every MBBS student must wear an apron.
• First-year MBBS boys must wear formal shirts and pants.
• Boys must also wear only formal shoes preferably black.
• Girls must wear salwar and keep their hair tied up.
• The nail should be kept short.
• No accessories like watches, rings, or bangles must be worn.

Ans. AIIMS Patna offers a Mentor-Mentee program for first-year MBBS students. Every fresher is assigned a mentor.  The mentor helps the fresher to settle down on the campus. The mentor continuously assesses the progress of the mentee. The mentor helps the mentee to work on their shortcomings and work for academic success. Mentors are the support system for the mentees in the college campus.

Ans. AIIMS Patna conducts workshops and academic conferences from time to time for the students. The notifications for such events can be found on the official website of AIIMS Patna.

Ans. AIIMS institute pays the highest stipend to PG students. The MDS students are paid a stipend as per the 7th Central Pay Commission. The basic pay for MDS students is INR 90,000. This includes HRA, DA, and Non practising allowances.

Ans. AIIMS Patna offers B.Sc Nursing and B.Sc Post Basic Nursing program in Nursing stream to the interested students. The seats are offered only to the female candidates. The seats are offered to the students who score merit in the AIIMS Nursing Entrance Examination. The student's intake for B.Sc Nursing is 571 per year. For the P.B.B.Sc program, the institute gives admission to 20 students per year.

Ans. No reservations are offered for admission in DM and M.Ch supers speciality courses at AIIMS Patna. The applicants must have completed all eligibility requirements and internship tenure by July of that academic year. Any students whose tenure will be complete after July will not be eligible for admission in that academic year. Candidates serving in the Government organization must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of counseling. The competent authority must issue the NOC. The admission date will not be extended under any circumstances. If the candidate fails to report for admission on the date of joining, the seat will be offered to the candidate on the waiting list.

Ans. The upper age limit for the candidate as of the last date of application is 45. This upper age limit is for the candidates applying from the General category. AIIMS Patna offers age relaxation for candidates applying from reserved categories. 

• OBC candidates get a maximum age relaxation of 3 years.
• SC/ST candidates get an age relaxation of a maximum of 5 years.
• According to the Rights of Persons with Disability Act, 2016, PwD candidates get a maximum age relaxation of 5 years.
• Ex-servicemen and Commissioned officers also get a maximum age relaxation of 5 years.

Ans. For the in-service candidates to apply for Ph.D admission, the candidate must have worked in AIIMS Patna for at least 5 years as a regular employee. The regular candidates must also have at least 5 years of service remaining at the AIIMS institute. The candidate must have actively participated in the research activities of the concerned department. The HOD must certify the English communication skills of the candidates. The candidate must also have published at least 3 research papers in a peer-reviewed journal. The candidate will be given admission only if the Head of the Department certifies that the departmental work will be fine if the candidate gets the admission.

Ans. Foreign nationals seeking admission at AIIMS Patna must fill up the online admission form and fill in their choice of specialization. The foreign national must send their applications through the Diplomatic channel to get the application form processed. They must also score a merit in the entrance examination. The foreign nationals will be awarded seats that are advertised for the sponsored students. The candidates must submit NOC from the concerned ministry. No stipend will be paid to the foreign students.
