Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS is a tough course and its curriculum is wide yet AIIMS Patna has one of the best faculties in each department. Academic pressure is lower as compared to other colleges because of the 3-4 months gap between successive examinations which gives students relief from exam stress and time to have fun and carry out co-curricular activities. There are many research opportunities for students and a new UG Research Council has been formed which allows students to get stipends through their research. There are fully functional OPD and IPD with nice footfall which gives students a great opportunity to learn during clinical postings. There is a fully air-c library for students with various books and a reading room for students which is open till late at night for the convenience of students during exam time Fees: The total fee for 5.5 year MBBS course is Rs 5856 including tuition fees and hostel fees. You need to pay for the mess separately.

Remarks:

AIIMS Patna admission process: We need to secure a good rank( for general, rank <1400) in the NEET exam. After new results, there is an around 1-month online counselling process consisting of 2 rounds and a mop-up round. There is no group discussion or interview for admission. After getting shortlisted in counselling, document verification and medical examination take place after which the admission process gets completed. Good aspects: AIIMS tag is a brand in itself. It has one of the best faculties and research opportunities. Scholars from all states of India are part of this college and there is no discrimination based on region or language. Hostel facilities are amazing. Students get a single room from the first year itself. There are multiple fests like KAIZEN (annual cultural fest) and ZAGON (intra-college sports fest) and events for co-curricular activities.
