VIMS is a state-funded medical college and hospital situated in the Nalanda area of Bihar, India. Established in 2013, VIMS is affiliated with Aryabhatta Knowledge University (AKU), Patna, and approved by MCI. The institute provides both undergraduate and postgraduate medical courses, such as MBBS, MD, and MS courses along with paramedical and B.Sc Nursing courses. To be eligible for admission in any of the courses mentioned above, candidates must successfully pass the NEET UG examination, followed by a counseling session.

The MBBS course is offered for a duration of 4 ½ Years and 1-year compulsory Routine Internship to qualified and eligible students. The total course fee for MBBS is INR 40,800 with an additional Misc. Charges of INR 1000.
