Dislikes
- ATTENDANCE is so bad it is a 75% requirement for each subject with no help for attendance, irrespective of any situation I was in an accident and still had to come to college 1 week after my accident this accident happened right after my dengue so i had no break to recover properly and yet i was not excused for my absence and got debarred
- The punch-in system has no lenience if we get late by 1 min to a 10:15 class to scan our faces, we get marked absent, or if we accidentally punch out before the class has ended and they can suddenly publish extra classes, which made me get debarred in a 7 class course in which we could only miss 1 class they published one on Saturday when I used to stay in Dwarka made me debarred
Remarks :
I have to prepare for the CDS(combined defense services) entrance exam alongside other competitive exams Amity offers a decent student-teacher interaction and allows us to network efficiently within the community nearby, so it also allows me to have time on my hands for my daily routine and the Classes are quite flexible as compared to BHU or other DU colleges in my opinion I left out my seats for Sri Venki Benett BHU and Symbiosis for this very reason as the class time allocation is hectic and workload is high as well in those colleges which I couldn't give as I have to prepare for my future exams and other events that I hold as my part-time venture
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course as it aligns with my aforementioned goals (joining the forces), and fortunately for me, it helps me learn a lot more about International relations, geography, usages, weapon history, war ideology, theorists, past war insights, and overall a broader perspective. The faculty is well-decorated, and most of our professors are from the army or are related to army personnel they help us indulge in various debates and discussions and help us brainstorm ideas as well, which I have learned to love lately as I love to learn more and more about everything with my thirst for knowledge alongside obviously gaming like any other teenage boy. We don't have midterms instead, we have assignments like PPTs, etc., and GDs (Group discussions) and only have end seems. If I had to rate the difficulty of the exams on a standard base of 1-10, I'd say a six or an eight if you don't pay attention in class or study.
Internships Opportunities :
My internship with Amity Credit System is to take place in the next sem, but my batchmates who had their internships last semester worked with Claws there was no stipend, but if they had a longer tenure, some of them were offered an internship 15k stipend with the post of research analyst/assistants .
Placement Experience :
Placements as per our seniors are decent, but there's not a lot of info on this with our dept because most of our alumni joined the forces, and I don't think Amity should be praised for their efforts, but my sister passed from the same college, and she got a few decent placements offers on her own and via connections through amity faculty we were offered to join CLAWS(center for land warfare studies) howsoever my plans for after graduation is to join the forces and give competitive exams
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Yearly fee structure for my course ba defense and strategic studies (hons+research) is rupees one lakh twelve thousand (1,12,000) Scholarships are available based on cgpa system and for 1st semester based on 12th results post 1st semester scholarship is given to students based on the sgpa and cgpa respectively. The fee structure hasnt changed although yearly increase in fees is there with an increase of one thousand rupees every year ie 1st year per sem was 55k 2nd year (current) is 56k
Campus Life :
Life on the Amity campus is quite free-flowing if I had to explain it honestly it's easy and simple; it has ample amount of space to sit with your friends and plenty of food vicinities there are a few fests which are quite popular, namely Amity freshers(uni-level) and amity youth fest which was downplayed this time but usually it's extremely fun with various stalls performances artists and acts with a great vibe. The library that we have is actually well equipped with self-checkout for book issues and pretty active staff in terms of guiding us to sections for our needs the whole divisions are properly segmented, and books are easy to find we can also access the library online or search the book name online on amity server, and it shows us where it is exactly which floor and all and even an online version a lot of intra and inter-university functions are also held I even took part in a tug of war, unfortunately, lost semi-finals students can opt for various clubs, etc.

They were no campus place name because I opted for humanity degree and humanities degree comes with no direct placement after UG and it acquires greater and highest studies so right now I am doing my post graduation and the emploibility is very low

The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
