- What I like about SRNM College, Sattur is that the faculty members are quite supportive and approachable, especially in the Computer Science department. They explain the concepts well and are always ready to help with doubts outside class too. Another thing I appreciate is the peaceful campus environment—it’s not too crowded or noisy, which makes it a good place to focus on studies. The infrastructure is decent with proper classrooms, labs, and a library that has the required books and resources. Overall, it’s a comfortable and disciplined place to complete your graduation.
Dislikes
- One thing I dislike about SRNM College, Sattur is that the placement opportunities are very limited, especially for BSc Computer Science students. Most of us have to depend on off-campus drives or search for jobs on our own. Another issue is the lack of exposure to modern technologies—the syllabus is a bit outdated, and there’s not much focus on practical skills like real-time projects, coding competitions, or workshops. Also, the campus life is a bit dull, with fewer cultural or technical events compared to other colleges.
Remarks :
Honestly, I chose this college mainly because it was within my budget, had a decent reputation, and the location was good for me. Some seniors from my school had also studied here and gave good feedback, so that helped. Also, it’s affiliated with a well-known university, so that added to the trust factor. For admission, I didn’t face any group discussion (GD) or personal interview (PI). The admission was purely based on merit—my 12th board marks. Some colleges do take entrance exams like CUET or state-level CET, but for this one, there wasn’t any written test or exam. Just fill out the application form, upload the documents, and wait for the merit list.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I’ve always been interested in computers and tech. I didn’t want to go for engineering because of high fees and tough competition, so BSc Computer Science seemed like a solid option. It gives a good base in programming, data structures, DBMS, etc., and I can go for jobs or higher studies like MCA or M.Sc. CS later.
Internships Opportunities :
I personally did not get any internship directly through the college, as internship opportunities are limited here, especially for BSc Computer Science students. Most of us either find internships on our own through websites like Internshala, LinkedIn, LetsIntern, or through personal contacts. The college sometimes shares internship info through faculty or department WhatsApp groups, but it's not very regular or well-organized. Occasionally, local companies or agencies offer internships in areas like data entry, digital marketing, or basic IT support.
Placement Experience :
To be honest, placements at SRNM College for BSc Computer Science are limited. It’s not like engineering colleges where you have regular company visits and mass placements. Some companies do visit occasionally, but it’s mostly for roles like data entry, BPO, support executive, or basic IT services. Core developer or tech roles are quite rare. Learn skills to place in a company otherwise you'll have to pursue higher studies

Campus Life :
Life on campus is pretty chill and disciplined. The atmosphere is peaceful and suitable for academics. You won't find a very flashy or “happening” environment like in metro city colleges, but it’s comfortable and friendly. Most students are from nearby towns or villages, so the vibe is quite local and down-to-earth. Social life is simple. There are a few cultural and departmental clubs, like the Computer Science Association, NSS, YRC, and Red Ribbon Club. They do conduct seminars, awareness programs, and sometimes fun events, but not too frequently. The main fest is usually called "INFOQUEST" or "TECHFEST" (names can change based on department). It's conducted by the Computer Science department, generally around February or March. Other departments also conduct symposiums and fests during the even semester.

Placements are good like when you rech the 4th semester you will be told to register the Placement portal and you will be charged 5000 to register in that Placement portal after that people from good companies or professional Placement trainers will come and train you give you classes the classes will be there until 5th semester end. After that many Placement offers will come to you in your given emails and you will be able to apply in those companies if you are eligible they will contact you. Internship offers the staffs itself give all the active Internship details in the college whatsapp group it will be created once your classes begin.

The eligibilty varies it's better to no arrears during placements average package could 3.5LPA Around 60 percent is placed I got placed. IN our college there are various companies that come for placemrnt like Capegimini, hcl, wipro, airtel, Ericcson.
Good college and value for money
Placement Experience :
Around 70% of the students from this course got placed, which is kinda decent I think. The highest package went up to 21 LPA and the lowest was around 5 LPA. Some of the main companies that came for recruitment were TCS, Zoho and Wipro. For internships also, students got chances in companies like Zoho, Amazon and Wipro. Most of the roles offered were related to HR, not much technical roles from what I heard.

The fee structure in the college is high and for different course the fee is different for ELECTRONIC AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING I am paying ?90000 and for bus ? 16000 and someone in my class is paying ?125000 so not everyone is paying the same amount in the college
