- Placements. Only science and IT students get better placements related to their course.But it provides great job placements which includes all fields
Remarks :
BCM colleges,kottayam is best for pursuing a bachelor degree in sociology. Tutors were highly skilled in teaching sociological theories with real life examples as sociology is all about the complex society. There is no group discussion, interviews or written tests to get Admission to BA Sociology in BCM College. The Admission is conducted on the basis of class 12 marks. The college release first, second ,third allotments and supplementary allotment. BCM college is a package of academics, arts, sports and many creative programmes. The students are highly enthusiast . They were very active in conducting programmes. The college union stand infront for student needs. Dance club, nature club , music club and many other clubs were also there to express student talents. BCM college marked their tremendous achievements in MG University women's kabbadi tournament. Along with kabbadi, BCM college were runners up in MG university judo,wrestling, and karate competitions.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I like to study about the society around us and the social phenomenas. The teachers were highly qualified and skilled in teaching the students. The tutors adopt many teaching methods apart from sitting in classroom .There were many seminars, gallentary walk , hackathon etc. Student parliament was also there to speak on social issues. There was a APEP test once in every day on topics covered. It comes in every subject on basis of timetable. It is from 12:15 pm to 12:40 pm. The term exams were conducted with an interval of two to three months. Some times the exam may delay. There were two term exams in one semester. The difficulty level exams were moderately. The semester exam date will be published within 15-20 days of exam fee notification.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes I opted for internship. As a Sociology student I have done internship in uzhavoor panchayathu for kerala Government project 'digikerala' for 10 days. For internship, BCM College is best. The college provide many internship opportunities especially for arts students. It includes many fields in our society.We can do both offline and online internship. Paid internship are also provided by the college.But for internship payment is very less. Only for the travel and other expenses needed for completing the internship.
Placement Experience :
Placements are not based on courses studied. I study Sociology. Butter job placement given are not based on that particular courses. And It is not same for all courses. But the college provide Placements for some courses that are related to that particular course studied. The eligibility criteria is different for different job placements. In some cases, the students must attend the training provided by the company giving you the job. Students can get in the job after completing the final examination. They don't have to wait until the result is published. The starting salary would between 10,000-20,000. Aesthetic edu-tech, HRBRO placement services, Quest Innovative Solutions were some companies offered Placements for Students of BCM College. Most of the Students attended the interview will get recruited to the job.The salary package will be high for Post Graduate students. PG courses were less in BCM College. Most of the degree Students opt for Post Graduation.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Admission fee - 1000 Management fee - 40,000 Admission fee for Sc/St - 250/500 Total tution fee -3000 (1000 per year) Union fund - 350 Association fund - Different in various associations (250-600) Scholorship - post metric Scholorship (6000 per year) , National means cum Merit Scholorship (12000 per year) College hostel fee - 6000 Government hostel is free near college (4/5km from college) for SC/ST with stipend of ?5000 Semester exam fee - ?750 Semester exam fee for SC/ST - 300 Other fees are for the programmes conducted by various departments in meeting their own expenses.
Campus Life :
There were dance clubs, music clubs ,nature clubs and many other clubs.The college conduct arts day ,sports day,miss BCM,Merit day and college day on a regular basis. Both students and teachers were participate in all these programmes. The college has great library containing all book of students wish. The college were runners up in kabbadi,judo, wrestling, karate, teakwondo and basketball. The college has its own BCM Kabbadi Academy. The BCM colleges were champions from past 12 years in MG university women's kabbadi tournament.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel fee was six thousand rupees per month. Three thousand two hundred was mess fee. The hostel provide basic infrastructure facilities. From hostelers opinion ,the mess food was good. The menu was not same in all days. There will be biriyani once every week. Chicken or fish was given all days expect friday ( Their prayer day) . Evening snacks along with tea or coffee also provided. Hostelers have to enter the hostel before 6 pm. The hostel was run by sisters. The hostelers have to face some restrictions. There is no charging plug in hostel rooms .There is a special place to charge hostelers phone. Charging is not allowed after 6 pm. Hostelers cannot use phone after 9 pm. The light will off after 10 pm. After that students can study in study room. Many students opt for PG as the more restrictions by the sisters. But it is manageable by many students. We can register for hostel room during admission process. They will get know about the rooms availability .

The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that

college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs

I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.

I choose this course because i have a strong interest in history and understanding past events,and culture and their impact on the present.the course curriculam is well structured and covers both core elective subjects,giving a balanced understanding of historical concepts.

There are few placement opportunities like infosys but we can't opt for high salary paying jobs.I am planning to complete mtech after graduating btech.There are many students with jobs from college selection but I don't like many jobs from college as per their salary

Most of the faculties are bds or mds graduated and well knowledged. Classes are mainly powerpoint presentation based and seminars. There are 2 internals and one model examination based on which qualification for university exam is determined.

I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
