- The most thing i like about the college is our library. Library contains many books around 5000.and the atmosphere in library is superb for learning, teaching, doing works and research
- Teachers are so friendly. They will do every possible help they can do. They will help us in getting in other colleges too for project, interships etc
Dislikes
- The thing i dislike is college do have sports club but not active.. We didn't have any period for sports. And the annual sports meet is a big sarcasm here. Nothing will conduct on the day they say. If we need to play anything we should bring everything College having a big football and cricket ground but no use!
- Some office faculty's are not good when we approach them. Its like we asked something to do free for us to them thats there attitude.. Only some peaople all others are good
Remarks :
After my plus two board exams i was soo intrested in doing my graduation on physics And in my district (kollam) the most prestigious institute was fatima mata national college. The lab facilities, library everything is so reserch friendly thats attracted me the most. The admission on merit seat is based on allotment. When i got allotment i came here and took admission. Admission was so friendly so that i didn't faced any issues. The only thing we need to obey is college rules and they are so strict about that. After the paper works i was interviewed by college principal and she asked few questions on why i selected this path. There was no any test or written test for admission all are based on the allotment that based on our 12th mark There is not such a bad thing about college Every thing is so friendly to us there.. Our teachers other faculties all are really sweet to us.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course bsc physics is divided into three year program that again divided into 6semesters First year was completely based on basis of physics. First sem consist of pure basic mechanics and it is soo easy. The lab is also classical mechanics based one. The duration of one sem is 6 months normally but we only get 3-4months. Second sem is completely based on thermodynamics. 3rd sem was electrodynamics and 4th was classical mechanics. At the end of 2nd year we havingour first lab exam The other sem exams are conducted in 3stages. First we having a normal test paper series that conducted in class room itsself and there will be a model exam before sem exam. The model and test exam marks are added for CE. Our last year was purely physics dealing with core physics topics like quantum mechanics, atomic physics electronics, statistical physics, optics Our 3rd year lab also based on physics core topics like optics and electronics. We having a project seminar on the last year. Its a team work.
Internships Opportunities :
I have attended many interships in my college and in other colleges too. In my college there was an internship for the physics students for astrophysics and astronomy. We conducted night sky watching, space classes etc. Also provided certificates too. There was a internship that conducted directly by NIT calicut for physics students in radiation physics and astrophysics.
Placement Experience :
Our college having a active campus placement cell that promotes students to get into companys after there graduation. Mainly we don't want to have any backpapers and also need above 7cgp to get into campus selecton Many software company's including infosis, technopark and banks like hdfc, federal bank, mahindra kotak bank will come here for selecting the students.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I was doing bsc physics in my college fatima mata national college. I am general category student. So during the time of admission i want to pay like 3000 as admission fees. I am selected in merit seat so that i just paid 3000.students who got management seat paid about 20000 during admission time. After the admission we having 3 year program with 6 semesters each semester want to pay 500 for semester exam. I had lab exam for 4th and 6th sem during this time we need to pay 700.extra 200 for lab. The first 3000 i payed for admission includes all the cost of library, compurter lab etc. Schollarships are allowed for 2 types of students.one for the students who got reservation and other for the the students who performed excellently on exams. For the reservation students will get around 500 each sem and for the toppers will get 750 as prize money at the end of each semester. Our college is autonomous and still affiliated with kerala university so it is so cheap to study here.
Campus Life :
Our campus is such a vibrant campus with a lot of students with colour full minds. Campus life was another level of vibe in FMNC. Students need 75% attendance for exam so that we can cut some class. And we enjoyed a lot in the campus itself.. The college having many festivals like ONAM, CHRISTMAS, HOLI, HALLOWEEN, ETHINIC DAY,VALENTINES DAY etc.Also the college tour was another level experience for is. The college festival usually conducted on February month and its a 3days program with huge audiences and vibrant programs. Onam celebration is another level in fmnc. The infrastructure of college is so unique and the most favorite thing in that is the college library... Its a big library with lots of books there.. We can work, study, reserch in the library. Wd also having free wifi connection too. Also the physics and chemistry labs are also really good with very new apparatus. Class rooms are neet and clean. Our college canteen is soo good having really a clean environment
Hostel Facilities :
Our college doesn't have any hostel out there. Every students come there daily from there house. Our college is accessible though bus and train so easy because the kollam junction railway station is in front of our college so it is easy for students form another districts. And also kollam bus station is near college (only 5km). Some near buy independent hostels are there but rarely used by my some friends

college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs

I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.

I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
