- Infrastructure wise unto date. Also there Is locational advantage as the collage is located in city center.
Dislikes
- Sometimes The classes are taught in Tamil and it is hard for other state students to catch up with lectures
- No Bus Facility for day scholars . But GOvt Buses are available often .
Remarks :
to get admission into this program I had to go through a multi stage selection process which includes an entrance exam and an interview . The First round was an MCQ based computer test that focused on mathematics and general aptitude . The questions were of moderate difficulty and tested my understanding of core math concepts . Time management played a key role in , as the paper was timed and accuracy mattered . After clearing the test , I was shortlisted for the second round - a personal interview round . The interview tested not only my academic skills but also my body language , soft skills , speaking skills , my intrest in computer science and cybersecurity . They also gave some puzzles on spot .I had brushed up on my 10th and 12th grade math and basic programming which helped me a lot during the test and interview. I apprecia psg that they didn't solely rely on board exams .
Course Curriculum Overview :
the circulum is well designed and comprehensive e, starting with a strong base in mathematics and core computer science subjects like data structures ,dbms, computer networks, operating systems .etc. They later gradually advanced to specialized areas like a data sciences, cloud computing, software engineering .etc . What I appreciate about the circular is that it doesn't just focus on coading but also emphasis on logic building , math logic and research skills. the faculty here are highly qualified , with most of them holding PhD,M.Tech or equivalent degrees form top institutes like IIT's , NIT's .etc. And several professors have published research papers in many international universities .
Internships Opportunities :
We have internship opportunity twice during this course , one during sem 7 and one during sem 10 . Most of the students who have above 8 cgpa usually get a paid internship and later get employed at the same office usually . Psg tech has a strong placement and internship cell that regularly collaborates with top companies and startups to provide internship and placement. The collage also facilitates internships through companies like Tcs , Infosys, L&T , cognizant and many more product based companies.
Placement Experience :
For Placements students should have 7.5 plus cgpa and should have no active backlogs , and a decent performance in internal assessments. The collage has good reputation among recruiters like zoho, TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro, Amazon .etc. The number of offers made differs by batch size , but around 75-85% of eligible students get job in campus placements and their salaries generally range around 12LPA.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
AT PSG tech , I enrolled in the integrated Msc cybersecurity course which spans 5 years , the totla fee structure including all the compulsory charges is 200000 per year , meaning the entire fee for the course is 10 lakh inr over 5 years. This feee covers tuition , admission ,development fee, lab and exam fees. There have no upward revisions in tuition during my time. All reserved category students had access to fee concession schemes provided by the government which bought their fees to around 1.2 lakh per year . There is also another option called "Merit cum means Scholarship for professional, and technical courses" for students with annual income of family below 2.5 lakh per annum. This brings their whole 5 year course to the cost of 2 lakh for 5 years.
Campus Life :
The main reasons for someone to join PSG is Well designed and balanced curriculum . The another reason is the highly qualified Professors who highly encourage in both academics, arts , research.etc . Another reason to join this course in specific is because you get a masters degree at the end of 5 years in cybersecurity . And this is course isn't quite popular yet so you have better job opportunities .
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel infrastructure is decent and functional, with separate blocks for girls and boys , each equipped with study tables, cots, cupboards. rooms are available in double , triple and four sharing based on availability , and common areas including tv, lounges, sports complexes, 24 hr wending machines, reading areas. The registration is quite simple- once you receive admission confirmation you can pay the fee Ian website or wardens office and then room is allotted based on course year . Speaking of mess - food has only Tamil Nadu varieties and they are all decent but other starters students will have to opt for a North Indian mess card which will give therm more choice or options like chapati , pain baji .etc

Placements are good like when you rech the 4th semester you will be told to register the Placement portal and you will be charged 5000 to register in that Placement portal after that people from good companies or professional Placement trainers will come and train you give you classes the classes will be there until 5th semester end. After that many Placement offers will come to you in your given emails and you will be able to apply in those companies if you are eligible they will contact you. Internship offers the staffs itself give all the active Internship details in the college whatsapp group it will be created once your classes begin.

The eligibilty varies it's better to no arrears during placements average package could 3.5LPA Around 60 percent is placed I got placed. IN our college there are various companies that come for placemrnt like Capegimini, hcl, wipro, airtel, Ericcson.
Good college and value for money
Placement Experience :
Around 70% of the students from this course got placed, which is kinda decent I think. The highest package went up to 21 LPA and the lowest was around 5 LPA. Some of the main companies that came for recruitment were TCS, Zoho and Wipro. For internships also, students got chances in companies like Zoho, Amazon and Wipro. Most of the roles offered were related to HR, not much technical roles from what I heard.

The fee structure in the college is high and for different course the fee is different for ELECTRONIC AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING I am paying ?90000 and for bus ? 16000 and someone in my class is paying ?125000 so not everyone is paying the same amount in the college
