Remarks :
NMIMS is one of the most renowned business schools in India, ranking high in the list of private colleges. Moreover, Mumbai provides an exposure to the real world and you learn to be independent. There was an entrance exam for admission called NPAT. NPAT includes logical reasoning, quantitative analysis and english skills. A decent percentage is required in your class 12 board examinations.
Course Curriculum Overview :
There is no scholarship provided to the general category students. Bcom honours as an undergraduate degree will provide you a stepping stone to the world of commerce. The faculty is well qualified and trained to impart knowledge in the most effective way. The teaching method involves theoretical as well as practical learning. The term end exams are of moderate difficulty and you can achieve good grades by studying consistently.
Internships Opportunities :
There are two compulsory internships to be done by the students. The first one is with an NGO after the first year and second one with a corporate firm after the second year. The choice of companies differ with your location.
Placement Experience :
ASMSOC provides placement and job opportunities for which you can apply at the beginning of the third year. You need to have a good CGPA to be eligible for placements. If you have other qualifications it will help you get the job. The highest package offered to an undergraduate is 24 lakhs and average is 5 lakhs. Almost 70 % students who apply for placements get the job.
Campus Life :
Life at campus is full of adventure. There are many fest of different colleges under SVKM happening almost every month. For example VAAYU is one of the biggest fest of ASMSOC held in February. Sports and other extracurricular activities are also held in such fest.
