It has the topmost rank in NITs and also has the 8th NIRF ranking of all colleges including IITs. So I expected a good placement and infrastructure along with diverse people in the best years of life. The qualifying criteria are based on JEE rank. There is no need for GD and PIs.
Basically, Instrumentation and Control Engineering is not a well-known course to outside society and among students. But this course has a lot of scope in both the industrial and software sectors. We study mainly about sensors and automation. Faculties are well qualified and have done their PhDs abroad and in renowned IITs with more than 10 years of teaching experience. The exams will be held in three phases class test-1, class test-2, and end semester exam. There will be scholarships based on merit and financial status, so there is no need to worry as fees is also low compared to many private colleges.
There will be internships starting from the 4th sem, but a very small number of companies will come compared to placement. So we'll try off-campus internships or some research internships under profs of other iits.
Placement assistance is taken care of by our seniors. There will be a few tests, GDs, and PIs in the 6th semester, you need to pass that if you want to sit for first companies in placement. As it is an NIT no need to think about companies visiting. Apart from students who are going for higher studies, we'll get 100 percent placement by the end of the year.
As I said earlier we have a very diverse people from all over the states of India, so you'll learn a lot along with them. By sharing their culture and having classes with them. Coming to fests in September there will be Festember, one the biggest cultural fests in South India. In October or November, there'll be a sports fete. In February we will have a technical fest called Pragyan, one of India's biggest technical fests. Finally, in March we have Nittfest. There is no need to worry about the availability of books we have a 3-floor library that even looks like a fort ( one of the good-looking buildings in NITT). Encouragement of sports is there, they gonna take you inter-nit if you play well. There are a lot of clubs you can join if you are interested in everything from making websites for college to trading clubs, etc.
There are campus placement from both native country and from abroad. But mostly for computer science course people are benefitted that time.mechanic and electronics and communication course face difficulty in campus placement.
Placements are given in high reputed companies, even companies like Microsoft, IOS, intel are also collaborated with the college. And for animation they provide placement in" Toonz Animation, Techno park, Thiruvananthapuram.
Not bad placement trainings and good faculty members to train for placements . Good companies with good packages come for placement drives who select the best of all and give placements for them. Good placements.
Placements are good like when you rech the 4th semester you will be told to register the Placement portal and you will be charged 5000 to register in that Placement portal after that people from good companies or professional Placement trainers will come and train you give you classes the classes will be there until 5th semester end. After that many Placement offers will come to you in your given emails and you will be able to apply in those companies if you are eligible they will contact you. Internship offers the staffs itself give all the active Internship details in the college whatsapp group it will be created once your classes begin.
The eligibilty varies it's better to no arrears during placements average package could 3.5LPA Around 60 percent is placed I got placed. IN our college there are various companies that come for placemrnt like Capegimini, hcl, wipro, airtel, Ericcson.
Around 70% of the students from this course got placed, which is kinda decent I think. The highest package went up to 21 LPA and the lowest was around 5 LPA. Some of the main companies that came for recruitment were TCS, Zoho and Wipro. For internships also, students got chances in companies like Zoho, Amazon and Wipro. Most of the roles offered were related to HR, not much technical roles from what I heard.
The faculty of this college is good there are strick and the curriculum are good and every one in the college will face 2 test before the main exam internal test one and internal test 2 are the two test and practical will be taken place a side
The fee structure in the college is high and for different course the fee is different for ELECTRONIC AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING I am paying ?90000 and for bus ? 16000 and someone in my class is paying ?125000 so not everyone is paying the same amount in the college
