- The college has a great infrastructure. All the faculties are highly qualified and has years of experience in their field. Campus life is good. There are many cultural arts and sports events happening at our college.
- The clinical exposure provided by our college is great. It's something that is not easily accessible in private colleges.
Dislikes
- Even though the college has created infrastructure and facilities the campus is a really small.
- The college means hostel is small and come back to the number of inmates staying.
Remarks :
Kottayam Medical College is the third Medical College that came into existence in Kerala. Kottayam Medical College is one of the best institutions in case of academic excellence and clinical exposure. Patients from all four nearby districts come to consult at Kottayam Medical College. It has a very good infrastructure and medical facilities. The admission procedure is done through a Neet examination. Those who have qualified for the needed examination can get admission through the allotment procedure taking place. There are two types of quotas, all-India quota and state quota. Neet is in a written test which is MCQ based.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum is competency-based. I choose this course out of my interest in the medical field and health care. The academics are a little tough comparatively. The college provides excellent faculty. There are Government and nongovernmental scholarships provided for the students such as MCM, E grand, etc. The fees are very low compared to the private institutions.
Internships Opportunities :
After completing the 4th year examination the internship will be provided by the perspective institution. During that period we have to work in the different departments of the same college. This is a time when we develop great clinical exposure.
Placement Experience :
In the MBBS course, there is no placement, but after completing the course we get an internship of one year. During this period we have two work in the different departments of the respective college itself. The average internship stipend amount is around 25k in Kerala. All those who have cleared the final examinations are eligible for the internship.
Campus Life :
The campus life is really good. There is a decent infrastructure on campus. But when compared to the other medical colleges here the campus infrastructure is a little lacking. There are various clubs and other cultural programs held here. Our institution is excellent in sports also. The hostel and the hostel mess is provided by the government. In case of availability of books and additional study facilities, there are library and other aids. The hostel food is average and the menu is not that good. The hostel fee is comparatively very low when compared to the other PG. It's affordable.

The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that

college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs

Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.

I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
