It was not my will to choose this college, I initially opted for Trivandrum but I did not enough marks. But after joining Kottayam I came to know that the academics are way better than other government colleges but the thing is patient inflow is less than in Trivandrum and Kozhikode. The admission process was easy because of my coaching institute, if you have any doubts, you can call the college itself. You should qualify next to get admission here. Cutoff varies yearly but for general quota, you should score 630-640. I went to a coaching institute for preparation.
I chose this course mainly because it was convenient and not because I was yearning to be a doctor, but the more I learned, I came to know that it's nice. All the faculty members are more than we'll be qualified, and most of them are excellent in their teaching... And some are even known India-wide. They conduct exams based on their convenience and it is somewhat difficult, way harder than University exams. Fees are quite low compared to private colleges, it's just 25370... And for reserved classes, you will get a fee concession and a scholarship... The scholarship is given by both government and private agencies however you should be qualified to avail of them... You will get the qualification details once you join the college... Both parents should have an income of less than 1lakh and must not have a government job.
After 4 yrs, you'll get into house surgeoncy and you'll get a stipend of around 37000. You should do the internship in this college itself. Projects and assignments are plenty that are given by the faculty but as long as you give them on time, there's nothing to be afraid of.
College does not guarantee placement, only thing is you can get to know some of the famous medical practitioners. The most basic salary after graduation is 50000. But during house surgery, you will get a stipend of around 37000. My plan after getting the degree is to take MD neurology in Trivandrum.
Fests are plenty. They are conducted by our college union and students. Sometimes the fest is awesome but students are reluctant to join because of exams and other homework. The college has its own Library and you'll get all the books you'll ever need from the college library. There are also digital learning aids in the library itself. It's free for all college students. Our college is competitive and so our college hosts many sports events like smriti etc... there are several workshops that you can join. I joined soap carving, and some people joined basketball, acting, and other interesting workshops. There are WhatsApp groups where you can get updates about college events, get learning assistance from seniors, get the daily news, and discuss exam topics. The hostel is way better when compared to other govt colleges. Rent is only 50rs food costs 130/day and it's bearable. There are lots of other places to rent, near the Medical College.
The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that
college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.
I choose this course because i have a strong interest in history and understanding past events, and culture and their impact on the present.the course curriculam is well structured and covers both core elective subjects, giving a balanced understanding of historical concepts.
There are few placement opportunities like infosys but we can't opt for high salary paying jobs.I am planning to complete mtech after graduating btech. There are many students with jobs from college selection but I don't like many jobs from college as per their salary
The faculity is generally experienced and supportive most students are satisfied. With the teaching clinical exposure. Facilities are friendly with the students. Regularly conducts class test and model exam to help students prepare for their studies and university examination. Faculties are high qualified and experienced
Most of the faculties are bds or mds graduated and well knowledged. Classes are mainly powerpoint presentation based and seminars. There are 2 internals and one model examination based on which qualification for university exam is determined.
I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
As I'm a first year student I've not got information about the placement but there are so many placement options from South Indian Bank, icici bank and also from companies like deliotte etc The college has connection with many international companies too.
Minimum criteria for placement is for a student with minimum arrears.Even though supply there if you have skill then you will be placed .Amal Jyothi has a better placement compared to other college and is very good
