CET is the best college in Kerala after the National Institutes like NIT(Calicut), and IIT(Palakkad). The best thing CET offers to its students is diversity which helps us to adapt and evolve to situations. To get into CET one must qualify for KEAM with a minimum rank of 400(For Computer Science) up to 3500(for Civil). There is no further process like Group discussions or admission interviews. A good student preparing for JEE can easily crack KEAM as it has very simple questions. The main difficulty will be time management and with good practice, one can easily manage that.
B.Tech being a technical course will easily avail us of job opportunities right as we pass out. CET also has a brand that brings many on-campus placement opportunities. The faculty members are the best with lots of experience and knowledge to guide you. But being a Govt. college has its cons like there will be no spoon feeding and one must learn for themselves. Term exams are conducted at the correct times as per the university calendar. There are many scholarships students can get and the College Scholarship Cell helps worthy students to attain them.
It is very difficult to get paid internships these days mainly after COVID; but some students have got internships from different companies like Redbull, Siemens, and TCS. Nowadays students mainly focus on internships in Government sectors like Powergrid, shipyards, railways, and airports.
The placements in CET are handled by the Placement cell. The minimum criteria they put are a good GPA (min 6 above) with no back papers. Some companies take students with backpapers also provided they clear them before joining period. The companies which visit frequently are TCS, IBS, MRF, Royal Enfield, ABB, and Bosch. The average offer the companies provide is a 6lpa. CET mainly gets 3 slabs or tiers of offers-1st(below 6lpa), 2nd(6-10lpa), and the dream slab(above 10lpa). Almost 75% of students are placed and the rest aim for higher studies. I'm also planning for higher studies.
CET has the best fests in Kerala. CET is the only college apart from the national institutes which conducts Technical fest and cultural fest separately. The tech. fest of CET, Drishti happens in April and the cultural fest, Dhwani happens in May. Both are 3-Day programs with night shows. The campus will be 24-hour on during these events. The other facilities like the main library, labs, and gym are also exceptional. CET is a 12-hour campus and students can use these facilities till 9 PM. There are hundreds of clubs(technical and non-technical) for students to join. CET also has strong sports teams and participates in sports meets yearly. The men's hostel and women's hostel have a capacity of 500 and 700 students respectively and many private pg's are also available in a 1km radius.
The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that
college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.
I choose this course because i have a strong interest in history and understanding past events, and culture and their impact on the present.the course curriculam is well structured and covers both core elective subjects, giving a balanced understanding of historical concepts.
There are few placement opportunities like infosys but we can't opt for high salary paying jobs.I am planning to complete mtech after graduating btech. There are many students with jobs from college selection but I don't like many jobs from college as per their salary
The faculity is generally experienced and supportive most students are satisfied. With the teaching clinical exposure. Facilities are friendly with the students. Regularly conducts class test and model exam to help students prepare for their studies and university examination. Faculties are high qualified and experienced
Most of the faculties are bds or mds graduated and well knowledged. Classes are mainly powerpoint presentation based and seminars. There are 2 internals and one model examination based on which qualification for university exam is determined.
I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
As I'm a first year student I've not got information about the placement but there are so many placement options from South Indian Bank, icici bank and also from companies like deliotte etc The college has connection with many international companies too.
Minimum criteria for placement is for a student with minimum arrears.Even though supply there if you have skill then you will be placed .Amal Jyothi has a better placement compared to other college and is very good
