St. Mary's College - My experience
Likes
- There is ramp in the college for the differently abled.
- There is a well functioning gymnasium for students.
Dislikes
- There will always some sort of infrastructure works done which disturbs the class.
- Disturbance of monkeys is often seen as it is close to the forest.
Remarks :
This is the college with great goodwill and a demanded campus which is near to my locality. Also, this is the best college in our district of Wayanad. The admission process was through the single window system of Calicut University. The provisional rank list is made from the index marks of the applicants. The index marks are calculated by adding 50 marks to the marks of the 12th class. An additional 15 marks are added to index marks if the student has been part of any of the NSS, NCC, etc.
Course Curriculum Overview :
At the time of my admission, this course was one of the most demanded courses. The faculty is well educated and 4 of them have achieved a doctorate. The term exams were regular and conducted fairly. The marks obtained by us made us evaluate ourselves.
Internships Opportunities :
There are no internships to the best of my knowledge in our college. So I can't speak or boast of anything. We were not provided with the work experience. We were taught only in the classrooms. I felt that was a huge limitation.
Placement Experience :
Placement opportunities in our college are comparatively less. More opportunities are provided to BSc and BCA students. Students get placed in these courses. One opportunity was given to all final year students and I got selected but I was not interested in that job. The important recruiter is Wipro.
Campus Life :
The campus is free and spacious. There are many programs which are conducted to make the students relaxed from the pressure of studies. The library provides lots of books and magazines. Sports and arts are conducted regularly. There are NCC, NSS, and many clubs.

Placement Experience :
The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that

college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs

Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.

I choose this course because i have a strong interest in history and understanding past events,and culture and their impact on the present.the course curriculam is well structured and covers both core elective subjects,giving a balanced understanding of historical concepts.

There are few placement opportunities like infosys but we can't opt for high salary paying jobs.I am planning to complete mtech after graduating btech.There are many students with jobs from college selection but I don't like many jobs from college as per their salary

The faculity is generally experienced and supportive most students are satisfied. With the teaching clinical exposure. Facilities are friendly with the students. Most of the faculties are bds or mds graduated and well knowledged. Classes are mainly powerpoint presentation based and seminars. There are 2 internals and one model examination based on which qualification for university exam is determined.

I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty

As I'm a first year student I've not got information about the placement but there are so many placement options from South Indian Bank, icici bank and also from companies like deliotte etc The college has connection with many international companies too.

Minimum criteria for placement is for a student with minimum arrears.Even though supply there if you have skill then you will be placed .Amal Jyothi has a better placement compared to other college and is very good
