Likes
- As I live in Ujjain itself, the college is pretty much 20 minutes from my home and I get to be at my home.
- The college is ranked in top 10 colleges in government colleges in MP. The quality of education is good.
- The fees here is comparatively less than most tech colleges and if any student has a weak financial background even he/she can afford the fees if not eligible for scholarships.
Dislikes
- The infrastructure is not as good as any other normal college. Yes you get a smart board and big classes but they are cleaned once in a week.
- The faculties here are not really helpful. They are not some good professors who are also working on some research. They are just here for goverment job.
- The facilities are not good here. The water coolers are often either empty or dirty. In washrooms there are dogs and other animals, and they are also not cleaned properly.
Remarks :
I wanted a college in my own city, which has a good reputation and is a government college. UEC comes under the top 10 government colleges in MP. For admission, you must have taken JEE exams. Then you need to fill out the counselling form at the MP-DTE site which allots colleges in MP. The cutoff in my year was 60%ile for SC/ST, 70%ile for OBC and 75%ile for general caste in my branch. You can also take admission based on 12th marks in the 2nd round of MP-DTE counselling or college-level counselling also known as CLC round.
Course Curriculum Overview :
My main choice was 3 branches, CS, EC, or EE. I actually want knowledge from all three branches but due to only 76%ile in JEE I got EE branch. The faculties here are good at teaching, most of them. But most of them have a careless or rude attitude towards 1st year students. Especially in my department, some teachers can give threats over internal marks if you don't attend classes. The fee is 24500 rupees at the time of admission, but the actual tuition fee is 22.5k and there are two-semester exams so 1300 rs for each exam form. So it's like 25.1k yearly for fees only. But for OBC/SC/ST students they get goverment scholarship of 29k-33k which is more than college fees and will help in buying study materials. The scholarship portal is the MPTAASC portal. As the college is affiliated with RGPV, Bhopal and is declared autonomous so paper making and answer sheet checking is done in the college itself. The exams are mediocre, but you can fail if you don't study properly.
Placement Experience :
Eligibility Criteria - 6.8 CGPA Highest Package - 8 LPA Average Package - 4 LPA Percentage of students getting placement - 35% mostly from computer science or electronics and communication branch. As for me after getting degree I'll apply for job in my respective field both on and off campus. I'll also give scholarship exam called MEXT for pursuing masters from abraod.
Campus Life :
There are fests organized by departments separately which contains quizzes, games, sports and different competition. It usually organized for a week with the help of student council body. They are held around November each year. Also festivals like Holi and Ganesh Chaturthi are celebrated in the college. There is a separate building for library, which has lots of books related to courses in the college. It also keeps daily newspapers in hindi and english. There are also weekly magazines available to read on technology and engineering. There are sports competition and you can even go state and national level in you respective sports. There are college hostels for both girls and boys but the registration is hard process so most students take rooms on rent. The food in hostel is not the best but eatable and as for roomies they either cook or get their lunch delivered by facilities available locally. For room renting, areas are Vasant and Tripti Vihar which are 10 min walk from college.

Placement and job opportunity is good in this college around 60% placed before start of 7th semester and 90% placed till end of 8th semester. Various company like Amazon , tcs , infosys , etc visit the campus. Highest package till now is 44 lpa and average is 6.5 lpa

The placement is quite quite good as year on years recently the placement was goes 57LPA to 75LPA and teh avg was 7-8LPA and median is 10LPA something. The college have 100% placement record every year and they also give grants and loans for students who wants to startup. But the internship support is zero like college are only focused on placement they are not foucing on internship.

I would like to say there are more job openings and internship programmes we had than a private college for both Graduates and Masters students. job openings in TCS/ banks and industries too. The thing is you need to put effort to grab a good opportunity. attain placements opening whenever you got notification from college groups. be prepared. ask your teacher to clear more doubts. However, I am the one who already had a job so I did not take from there because I was working in tech mahindra and its work from home in my favourate feild.

If you are focused on your studies you can get really good opportunities here as companies like accenture,TCS, Wipro and Tata Mahindra come here every year and many more companies too. The college provides training and placement classes from 2nd year onwards.

MBBS is concerned there is no issue with placement. As none of the doctors are jobless. And obviously placements are good one can work in well esteemed organization after just MBBS but more people prefer to opt PG course.
