I was looking for artificial intelligence courses and this was one of the few colleges with AI courses at that time. Also, I wasn't looking for colleges far away and this college was near my home. The college also had good placements as I enquired. There wasn't any interview or test from the college side. I had written the Kerala entrance exam KEAM and had a pretty good score, so I was given admission without any hesitation. The candidate should pass the KEAM exam for applying that's the only condition and seat availability is also a factor
The future of society is AI and that's the reason why I chose the Artificial Intelligence and Data Science course. I would rate the qualification of the faculty a 8 out of 10 as most of the faculty are from different backgrounds and they used to be faculties from other branches. The teaching method is good and there are projectors in every class and the teaching method is pretty advanced. There will be two series of exams every semester. Usually, a semester lasts 5 months and the series exams are conducted on the 2nd and 4th months. The exams are of moderate level of difficulty. The questions are mostly referred from repeating the previous year's questions. The fees are pretty normal fee and there is a scholarship for high scoring students. Apart from that there hasn't been any fee hike yet.
There are limited internship opportunities on campus. We have to apply on our own and get internships. I have done an internship in a company called HARISH SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS for Computer Vision. There aren't any internship opportunities with a stipend. If the student is well talented, he might get one apart from that there aren't any opportunities provided by the college Every company will take you bas an intern and first teach you certain things and then assign role to you. The projects will be in my case to analyze images and to build an AI model that detects eye diseases.
The placements are very bad this year, but it is generally good in this college. For eligibility for placements the student should have less than 3 back papers and some companies don't even allow single back papers. The regularly visiting recruiters are TCS, EY, Sutherland,Infosys, etc. The highest package would range around 10 lakh LPA and on average, it is 3-4 LPA. And this goes for all companies except Sutherland which offers 2-3 LPA on an average. The percentage of students getting placement would be about 40% but this year it dropped to around 20% due to the recession. My plan after my degree is to try for placements and first I would be willing to work at low pay but eventually, I want to start my own firm and be an entrepreneur.
The campus life is pretty poor. There is a library and there are many varieties of books available, but reading is not encouraged, and students rarely rent books. There are fests conducted but it is restricted and there isn't any real fun. The fests conducted are BODHI - Tech Fest, Drishya - Arts Fest. And then there are celebrations for most occasions like Christmas, Onam etc.. Sports are not that much promoted but still it is there. The sports day is conducted annually. There are very less extracurricular activities. There are social groups like NSS, IEEE and they are pretty active in the college. The hostel is pretty basic, and the rooms are okay. The food isnt that great and the menu is limited. The hostel registration is simple, and we just have to pay a caution deposit at first which is refundable and then the monthly rent is pretty affordable and there are 3 shared and 2 shared rooms. There are also good rooms and PGs available nearby in Vahzakulam town and Muvattupuzha town
The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that
college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.
I choose this course because i have a strong interest in history and understanding past events, and culture and their impact on the present.the course curriculam is well structured and covers both core elective subjects, giving a balanced understanding of historical concepts.
There are few placement opportunities like infosys but we can't opt for high salary paying jobs.I am planning to complete mtech after graduating btech. There are many students with jobs from college selection but I don't like many jobs from college as per their salary
The faculity is generally experienced and supportive most students are satisfied. With the teaching clinical exposure. Facilities are friendly with the students. Regularly conducts class test and model exam to help students prepare for their studies and university examination. Faculties are high qualified and experienced
Most of the faculties are bds or mds graduated and well knowledged. Classes are mainly powerpoint presentation based and seminars. There are 2 internals and one model examination based on which qualification for university exam is determined.
I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
As I'm a first year student I've not got information about the placement but there are so many placement options from South Indian Bank, icici bank and also from companies like deliotte etc The college has connection with many international companies too.
Minimum criteria for placement is for a student with minimum arrears.Even though supply there if you have skill then you will be placed .Amal Jyothi has a better placement compared to other college and is very good
