My KEAM score was bad and Mar Baselios College of Engineering and Technology had great reputation even if it's private college. The admission process was very simple , I was enrolled in the option called management merit. The fees structure is 10,000rs higher than the government enrolled students. Overall experience in the mechanical department was good. The teachers are very friendly. But as a private college there are certain limitations. There is no political background for this college. Whatever the management decides that is the law. The student body is only a title, it doesn't have any value in this college. For a student who wants to study all 4 years and doesn't like any extra curricular activities MBCET IS A VERY GOOD OPTION. The major plus point of the college is its amenities. There are enough and more facilities for a college. The overall experience of this college is average.
I choose mechanical engineering to pursue a career in marine engineering. After mechanical engineering there is a diploma course known as general in marine engineering. Its a 1 year course. The process is almost same but if u wanna expand ur career the path I took seems to be a good option. As u know Mar Baselios College of Engineering and Technology is an autonomous college ie, the college is affiliated to Kerala technical University but the exams are conducted by the college.
I completed my internship in the 1st semester itself. The college offered us the internship. It was at a Yamaha training Centre. As a mechanical student it was great opportunity as we got know pretty much about 2 wheeler engines and their functions first hand. We had to submit a report after the internship. It is mandatory for a student to complete an internship not less than a week. We get activity points for the completion
There are enough and more placements in this college. The percentage of students getting these placements is also above average. The packages getting offered is also not that bad. I would say rather than this being a private college, actually MBCET is a very good option for students aspiring for a good career.
The social life at campus is also good. I have friends who are of the same mindset. And yes there is a lot of clubs in our college dedicated to each branch. The basketball team is this college is very good. There is a main college fest called Crossroads. Its conducted every year. Every branch also has its own fest. Mechanical has its own autos how known as OFFROADS.
The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that
college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.
I choose this course because i have a strong interest in history and understanding past events, and culture and their impact on the present.the course curriculam is well structured and covers both core elective subjects, giving a balanced understanding of historical concepts.
There are few placement opportunities like infosys but we can't opt for high salary paying jobs.I am planning to complete mtech after graduating btech. There are many students with jobs from college selection but I don't like many jobs from college as per their salary
The faculity is generally experienced and supportive most students are satisfied. With the teaching clinical exposure. Facilities are friendly with the students. Regularly conducts class test and model exam to help students prepare for their studies and university examination. Faculties are high qualified and experienced
Most of the faculties are bds or mds graduated and well knowledged. Classes are mainly powerpoint presentation based and seminars. There are 2 internals and one model examination based on which qualification for university exam is determined.
I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
As I'm a first year student I've not got information about the placement but there are so many placement options from South Indian Bank, icici bank and also from companies like deliotte etc The college has connection with many international companies too.
Minimum criteria for placement is for a student with minimum arrears.Even though supply there if you have skill then you will be placed .Amal Jyothi has a better placement compared to other college and is very good
