- The faculties are top notch. College is not very strict
- College fests and events are very much fun. Both students and faculties work together as a team

- The infrastructure is a bit old and can be developed
- There should have been more intercollege events and programs mainly for sports
Remarks :
A national level entrance test is conducted every year for students to get admission into IHM. The entrance is called NCHM-JEE. It's a CBT mode paper. The exam is not tough and can be cleared easily if one has average knowledge
Course Curriculum Overview :
This field has huge potential and it's an evergreen industry. Every faculty here is educated and talented as all the faculties of IHM have to clear a national level exam called NHTET and then clear a skill test exam and then interview. After all this procedure only they are selected as faculty in IHM. The curriculum structure is well-created. IHM comes under JNU certification so it holds a good value. Apart from this various scholarships are also provided. There are 100% scholarships for ST students and many more
Internships Opportunities :
All the students of IHM in their 2nd year have to go through an internship in 5-star hotels which normally lasts for 4 months. This is done so that every individual knows the real world and the work culture. Normally the stipend for this training period is less but at the end of the day it's mainly for the experience
Placement Experience :
For past many years every person who have sit for the placement have got 1 or 2 offers. Top recruiters like Hyatt , Taj , Hilton , Four seasons, and many qsrs like kfc , Domino, McDonald's, etc visit every year and offer jobs to our students. Placements happen around November -December. The highest package in 2023 was 38000 per month and the lowest was 15000
Campus Life :
IHM trivandrum has one of the biggest food and fun fest of trivandrum called "FANDANGO". It's a 3-day fest which happens normally around March. Apart from this, we have a cultural fest called "CAT-A-FEST". Every year there is an annual sports day which lasts for 1 week. We have Indias one of the biggest and most reputed clubs "YUVA TOURISM CLUB". Some other clubs are social media, eco club, and ragging. We have well-defined hostel facilities for both boys and girls. While admission the college asks the student whether they want to opt for a hostel. The hostel fee normally varies from 60-70k per year

The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that

college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs

Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.

Most of the faculties are bds or mds graduated and well knowledged. Classes are mainly powerpoint presentation based and seminars. There are 2 internals and one model examination based on which qualification for university exam is determined.

I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
