- Placement records are good. Faculties are well qualified and treats students well. Provides good learning atmosphere.
- Administration of college is very good. They consider students before taking any direction.
Dislikes
- Area of campus is less. So campus life is limited.
- Public transport facility is limited. Apart from college bus, private buses or KSRTC services are not there near the college
Remarks :
Admission to our college is based on the score of the KEAM exam conducted by the Entrance Commission of Kerala. There were no group discussions or interviews for the admission process. Admission is only based on the KEAM rank. KEAM is a comparatively easy entrance exam that also considers our plus two marks for the final score. The factor that attracted me to my college is its placement statistics. It has one of the best placement records in Kerala. The academic performance of students is also excellent in our college. Currently, MEC is in third position in terms of overall pass percentage in the list of colleges under KTU. The only negative I felt about the college is its area. It is a small campus compared to others so the scope for entertainment within the campus is limited.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose CSE in MEC because I am interested in coding and software development. Also, the current demand for CS engineers in the world attracted me to this course. Course Curriculum of our college is designed by Kerala Technological University. The course curriculum was last updated in 2019. Thus it has its demerits when considering the present trends in the technology field. But, the syllabus is capable of making students understand the core concepts of subjects making them ready to learn new technologies and skills with ease. As mentioned earlier academic performance in our college is one of the best in Kerala. Faculties are well-qualified and dedicated. They teach and treat students very well. The fees of students are based on the quota of their seats. 45000 , 75000 , 110000 per year are the fees of students in state merit, management and NRI quota respectively. Alumni of college give 25000 per year to students who have secured a rank under 1000 in KEAM.
Internships Opportunities :
I didn't opt for any internship from our college as I am a first-year student. But, our college provides internship opportunities to students. A total of 82 internship offers were made this year. I don't know much about the tasks and projects one has to do during the internship
Placement Experience :
Students are eligible for placement from 3rd year onwards. 83 companies visited our college this year. 308 placement offers and 82 internship offers were made this year in MEC. The highest package 52 CTC was offered to two students by a company called DE SHAW & CO. The Average package of our college is 8.1 LPA. AIR INDIA, ANSYS, DELOITTE, IBM etc are a few companies that visited our college this year. More details of placements are provided on the official website of the college.
Campus Life :
Although the area of our campus is less it has good infrastructural facilities. MEC is one of the very few institution which has idea lab and fab lab facilities. Our college has a vast library and students can easily access books and journals. Clubs academic as well as non-academic are very active. They conduct various activities and programs regularly for the upliftment of students. THUDI, THANAL, MACS, IEDC, TINKERHUB etc are some examples of clubs working in MEC. College gives sufficient importance to arts and sports. Arts and sports events are conducted every year in college. EXCEL is the annual teach fest conducted in MEC. MEC also participates in various inter college tournaments and have a very strong team for all. College hostel is there for student's accommodation. They also provide quality food there. Hostel fees is almost 4000 per month including food. There are many private hostels and rented rooms around the college at affordable rates.

The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that

college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs

Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.

I choose this course because i have a strong interest in history and understanding past events,and culture and their impact on the present.the course curriculam is well structured and covers both core elective subjects,giving a balanced understanding of historical concepts.

There are few placement opportunities like infosys but we can't opt for high salary paying jobs.I am planning to complete mtech after graduating btech.There are many students with jobs from college selection but I don't like many jobs from college as per their salary

I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
