Likes
- Infrastructure is beautiful, spacious classrooms, clean areas, very green environment.
- Faculty is nice, few are helpful and will take an extra mile to help you if you are not able to understand something.
Dislikes
- Campus life is nil. There is only one cafe and one restaurant that are good for nothing. Basic requirements are not available in the campus.
- There are no inter college events such as culturals or sports day event conducted, so the interaction with the other colleges is very minimal. Only a conference is conducted every year named SIMSCON, for the students by the students.
Remarks :
The college has an amazing infrastructure, well-lit classrooms, and a hospital. The patient load is good and the professors are very helpful. Regular weekly internal assessments are conducted without fail, and if a holiday has been given on a particular day, it is made sure that an extra class is being conducted for it.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course is of 4 and half years plus one year of rotating internship. I chose the course because since childhood I was sure I wanted to be a doctor. The website says that the college has scholarships and stuff like that, but everything is a lie. This college is very money-minded, they will instead add 10 lakhs more if possible but will never reduce any money. Exams are conducted every week, in the name of internal assessments. Model exams are conducted once a year, a month before the major university exam.
Internships Opportunities :
Not opt for an internship as it is not allowed. Once you finish your degree only, you can get a certificate to work anywhere in any hospital or camp or for any company. However, in the compulsory rotating internship that is to be done here, you can opt to do it in your preferred state also if you have a proper valid reason for it.
Placement Experience :
Being in a medical college, there isn't a thing about placements but an internship is available in the hospital. It's a rotatory internship and you are given only a 5000 per month stipend for it. After a one-year internship, you can go join any hospital after an interview or can join this college itself as a junior resident doctor.
Campus Life :
There isn't any campus life as such. The college does not have a very happening campus life. It's college, hospital back to room, and repeat. However, there is an intra-college sports day and cultural that does take place. Hostel is a waste. The rooms are small, bathrooms are rarely cleaned, no flexibility, hostel warden is very rude, and does not know how to speak to future doctors. Not at all worth 200000 rupees per year. Plus there is no AC! If u need AC, you have to additionally pay 78000 per year!!

There have campus placement after completing our course if we are wiling to do so on the affiliated colleges or off campuses of the university. For women also there have colleges at local and national level. Students also prefer to proceed their studies at global level by entering into international universities and other programmes.

The college has its own placement cell .each year almost 400-500 students are getting placed.the well know recruiters are TCS , Accenture,Bounteous , Capgemini etc.the highest package of cur end year is 12LPA.

Placement opportunities are excellent in SMVEC which is an attractive factor to join this college. Internships need to join based on our own intrest. TCS ans CTS is an main recruiting organisations in this college.

Eligibility for sitting In placement is that we should not carry backlogs and we have to maintain a decent cg of 7+ some companies do allow even you have backlogs but mostly they don't . In eee we have a good scope of getting palced this time everyone who sat for placements was placed and the highest core package of 12lpa which is actually good. Average was around 7 lpa for core in eee . I'll probably choose upsc career so this placement thing is not my piece of cake . Still our college is good for eee core placements

Job placement is quite bad in our university if you think to get addmission here you will fight for job . You have to apply directly to the companies. Companies are coming here but they didn't provide placement more than 30% .
Bharathiyar College of Engineering and Technology
Placement Experience :
The few companies which attended the placement drive were pharmaceuticals and sales companies, which weren't related to the field we pursued. Students attended the placement drive got placed and were able to bag below average packages. The percentage of students who got placed were around 40%. My plans were to go for higher studies. More emphasis could have been placed by the college on the placements and more opportunities could have been provided by the college for the students.

Placement Experience :
Every year students are placed in a week reputed companies like Amazon,Virtusa,TCS, Capgemini, Renault and so on. All the students having eligibility to attend the placements but some of the Top MNC expected 60% eligibility of throughout 10,12 and academic CGPA. So not eligible students also having more placements options to crack it.
