Facts about IIT GOA
Likes
- The infrastructure of the hostel is very nice with all the double occupancy rooms . The campus is mesmerizing with required sports and gym facilities.
- The faculties are very supportive of you have any question write an email to them if possible they will solve there only or else will ask to meet them personally in their cabin and solve it.
Dislikes
- Infrastructure is good but the repair work of any thing takes a bit of time as location of hostel is remote
- Stay alert from your curriculum that if you indulge extremely in co curricular activities then it might cost your grades in academics.
Remarks :
One has to clear the JEE ADVANCE exam to get in. Then sit in the JOSSA counselling where you get into IITs, NITs and other GFTIs based on your ranking. I was able to secure admission to this college based on past years' cutoff and even it matches my branch of interest.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum is up to date. All the faculties hold PhD degrees from IITs or IVY league universities and are optimal in their research work with nice teaching experience. Scholarships are provided to students and even remission of fees on a merit cum means basis.
Internships Opportunities :
Not yet because only in the 1st year right now. The internship on campus is the opportunity in the 3rd year which is carried by the internship cell at the campus. You can get good opportunities from on-campus internships as they might give you PPO straight away from your performance there.
Placement Experience :
Campus placement has a very nice track record with 90% of students placed in the current year and still placing. The internship process is also quite similar onboard only. The highest package of 2023 placement is somewhat 50 lakhs per annum.
Campus Life :
There are many cultural clubs even with few technical clubs and academic clubs which provide you relief from your daily schedule as they organise various events. Besides you have the annual cultural fest and sports fest. The hostel runs a mess with 4 meals a day and a night canteen for students operational till 2 am in the night. The quality of food I say is good to go with a healthy menu for all days.

Course Curriculum Overview :
I choosed this course because the course covers all the aspect of commerce field . The teaching method and quality is also very good . We have smartboard in every classroom . All the professors use smartboard to teach . We have 3 isa in which 1st one is compulsorly and in 2nd and 3rd isa we get improvement chance which helps us to score better in term exam as the marks of isa are added in term exam .

At the end of the 3rd year Campus placement starts and I would like to tell that many 4-5 star hotel come to campus for placements Like TAJ , Hyatt , many airports companies Lowest package was around 2.5L annually and highest was around 6-7L per annum

Placements and internships are good there are two internship seasons named as PS1 and PS2 which is based on our curriculum. During the past 2 years the placements have not been that great because of the ongoing recession. But still companies are coming with less packages and students are getting placed but frequency is less. My plan after the degree is to get some job experience and then I will try to go pursue MBA.

Great ! You can get it easily in your preferred city/country. There are many hotels which are linked to iihm so interships and placements are easily available in your preference. Good fot that reason.

Faculty are very experienced and distinguished personalities they are very knowledgeable in their fields. The course here is very tough. Scholarship is available in 2 channels 1st is merit scholarship, the 2nd is merit cum need scholarship.

On campus placements are offered every year. The highest package last year was around 60 lakh while the lowest was 8lpa. Out of all the students only one student wasn't placed which gives us almost 100% placement rate. Almost all top companies visit our college including Google, Amazon, Facebook etc.

Placements are excellent. Top companies have hired freshers from here . My branch CSE has 100% placement rate and overall all branches have 99% placement rate . Usually students are offered on campus placements so there is no need to go for off campus opportunities
