I chose Dimapur Government College because the tuition fees were affordable and mostly the admitted students were meritorious creating a competitive environment. When I applied for admission in 2021, there was no entrance examination and the applicants were selected on the basis of the percentage they scored in 12th standard. But from 2022 onwards, the admission process has changed. There is now an entrance examination(written). There is no cutoff in this exam. The syllabus for the entrance examination is quite easy. It includes the basics that you learnt in your higher secondary. So, there is no need to worry if you are aware of the basics that you learnt in your 11th & 12th standards. There is no interview, your performance in the written examination decides everything. For admission date, fees, etc. You can visit the college website i.e https://dimapurgovtcollege.in
I chose my major as political science as I'm a civil services exam aspirant. I thought this course would help me a lot in my exams. The qualifications of the faculty are quite good I should say. Most of the faculties are selected through NPSC which is fairly good. Each faculty has different teaching methods. While many faculty make use of fairly good teaching methods some few might not. Some can be interesting and some boring and lacking. The best thing about my college is there is no fee hike policy and the cost is affordable. Like, we pay 4650 every semester which covers everything. There are lots of scholarships available but I'm familiar with two Matric Scholarships (PMS)& State Merit scholarship (SMS). These two scholarships are the most common and they are a lot of help to the students.
No, I have not opted for any internship. The college did not offer any internship opportunities during my stay in college. But now things have changed. With the changes in courses, internships are now being made available to the students.
There are no placements or job opportunities in my college. This is where the sad part comes. The employability or plans after completing the course depend on what types of job you're willing to undertake. I think after completing my course, my employability is fairly good. But since I'm a CSE aspirant I'm pushing back my plans to get employed in the private sector. So, my plans after getting the degree are to work hard and prepare for CSE.
Well, the campus life I experienced was fun. It depends on how much we socialize. The annual festival held in my college is called the "harbinger festival". It is usually held in the spring. It is a week-long festival and it covers sports, literary day, cultural day, etc. It's quite an exciting festival, I should say. The library is no short of books. In my three years, I've been able to use the college library without having to buy any books. I think the book list will be updated soon. The college pays great attention to Sports and extracurricular activities. The college aids the students in participating in championships. This is one of the good things about my college. There are many clubs run by students such as we have, political science club, history club, English club, etc. These clubs organise events and competitions. I have to say these clubs are indeed active.
I have not applied for a campus hostel but I'm quite familiar with the application process and the fees. To apply for the campus hostel, you may need to visit the office and fill up forms. There's a competition for seats in the hostel. There's an interview and you will then know whether you are selected or not. Only the deserving candidates get a seat in the hostel. In case you get a backlog in any paper during your stay in a hostel, you get kicked out. So, you have to be careful. The hostel fees are quite affordable. In case, you don't get a seat in the campus hostel, don't worry, there are lots of PG and hostels around the college with affordable fees. I will not review the food quality and menu since I haven't been to the campus hostel.
The eligibility criteria for placement is being the gold medalist of your department. There have been very few recruiters over the past few years and less in the coming years. There are mo packages information so far as it is strictly confidential. Campus placements are not offered. Employability plans are crucial for success and hence i have been making progress to search them continuously.
Sadly there are no placements available in the college, so most of the student’s plan after getting the degree or after graduation will be to go for civil service examination or state service examination
Here in this College placements and job opportunities are very less than compared to other NIT colleges nowadays placements are very scarcity what are the placements offered by the company they are taking the placement so it is not sufficient to us and at coming to my time the placements are where hard to get a placement in an big company so I am trying hard forgetting and placement or in case I didn't get any placement I will write gate examination and I will go to my mtech for resides for IIT colleges.
Placement and internship are also doing well in our campus as per new stats in-campus placement are good and collaboration with Indian institute of technology Kharagpur regarding recruitment ment can be confident regarding this topic
No college does not provide any intenship but the placements are decent maximum 80 to 90% of students get placed with minimum lpa of 7.5 lakhs to max of 25 lakhs. L&t ,vedanata, tcs, genpact, alstrom, nse and bse are our top recruiters
in our college the placement percentage os 60-70% ,and the average package is 6 lakhs and highest is 16 lahks . and moreover in this institute we will get very less core jobs the max are IT domain jobs only.
There will be a huge amount of opportunities with respect to this course They are high qualified professors with decent doctorates. Way of teaching is good. Two semesters will be completed within the academic year As per the guidelines of mhrd there will be a respective fee structure Will be provided by nsp (national scholarship portal)
For placements we must have cpga above 7 other wise we can't able to sit for college placements . Highest package is 14 lpa and average package is 8 lpa and around 80 percentage of students got placements placements
In this college the placements and job opportunities are very less due to it's an 28 position in NIT ranking list and .. We are studying hardly for these placements and job opportunities for feature development
The placement and job opportunities are to be honest not so well although it's upto the students. The eligibility of the placement is that the minimum requirements is one should have a degree of any course The number of students getting placement cannot be said at the exact number since there are alot of jobs and placement of many sectors needless to say there are many who have landed a good opportunity My plans after getting degree is to work under a good organisation or a company.
