JG University Admission Dates 2027

JG University is expected to follow its usual annual schedule for 2027-28. The dates below are tentative and should be checked after the university publishes its confirmed admission calendar.

Programme selection may use a national entrance examination, JGET, academic merit, a portfolio, or an interview. JGET is the university's entrance test and is normally conducted on its campus.

JG University Courses and Fees

More than 50 programmes are available at undergraduate, postgraduate, integrated and doctoral levels. They are taught through nine schools in engineering, management, design, computing, commerce, law, forensic science, aviation and emerging technology.

B.Com Hons students following the ACCA pathway study towards the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants global qualification with their degree. The B.Des course provides a structured degree route in Game Design and Simulation, an option offered by few universities in Gujarat. Through the School of Investigative and Applied Science, the 5-year integrated Forensic Science programme teaches crime scene investigation, toxicology and digital forensics.

JG University Admission Process

Admission decisions consider entrance scores, academic records and, for some courses, a personal interview. Depending on the programme, applicants may use an accepted national examination or take JGET. The university follows a rolling admission system, and the expected 2027 application period runs from February to May.

B.Tech Admission

General Category applicants need at least 45% in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. SC and ST applicants may be eligible with a lower aggregate under UGC rules.

• Applicants may submit JEE Main, GUJCET, or JGET scores.
• The stages are online registration, assessment of marks or entrance scores, publication of a provisional merit list, document checks and payment of the fee.
• A specialisation is assigned according to the student's choice and the seats available during admission.

BBA and BBA+MBA (Integrated) Admission

Students from any 10+2 stream can apply for BBA or integrated BBA+MBA with at least 45%. Completing the 5-year integrated course awards the combined BBA+MBA qualification without requiring a separate postgraduate entrance examination.

• Selection uses JGET or Class XII merit.
• Applicants complete the form, undergo assessment of their JGET score or Class XII marks, and attend a personal interview.
• Available specialisations include International Trade, Entrepreneurship, Aviation Management and Event Management.

MBA Admission

An MBA applicant must have a graduation degree from a UGC-recognised university with at least 50%. Scores from major national management tests and JGET are accepted.

• Accepted tests are CAT, CMAT, XAT, MAT, SNAP, NMAT, GMAT and JGET.
• The process covers application and score submission, a group discussion, a personal interview, release of the merit list and the admission offer.

B.Des, B.Sc+M.Sc (Integrated), BCA, B.Com, LLB, and PhD

For B.Des Hons, students need 10+2 in any stream and must provide a portfolio for review by the School of Emerging Technology. BCA requires Mathematics at 10+2. For the integrated B.Sc+M.Sc courses, Forensic Science accepts PCB or PCM, while Cyber Security requires PCM. Selection for B.Com, LLB and MCA is merit-based. The Research Committee conducts PhD admissions twice each year through a written examination followed by an interview.

JG University Placements

The placement cell arranges internships, recruitment drives and pre-placement offers. Across recent graduating groups, the university has reported that more than 80% of eligible students were placed. Participating employers represent IT, banking, fintech, analytics and manufacturing.

The reported highest salary is INR 25 LPA, while the average is INR 6.5 LPA. More than 150 companies have joined recruitment drives, including Softvan, Gesia IT Solutions, Samyak Infotech, Electromech, TCS and Infosys. Eligible students have 100% internship participation, and 30% of placed graduates receive pre-placement offers from the organisations where they interned.

JG University has more than 200 industry connections. Internship modules form part of several courses, including BBA, BCA and B.Tech. Forensic Science, Game Design and Aviation students use sector-based routes involving government agencies, game studios and airlines instead of relying only on standard campus recruitment.

JG University Campus and Infrastructure

The university's 25-acre campus is on Drive-In Road in Thaltej, Ahmedabad. The area is an important education and business corridor with access to public transport and Ahmedabad airport. Wi-Fi is available across the campus, and smart classrooms use AI-powered learning management systems.

Each of the nine schools has dedicated teaching space and laboratories suited to its programmes. Engineering facilities support computing, civil design, artificial intelligence and IoT. The forensic science laboratory handles criminalistics, toxicology and digital evidence analysis. Simulated aviation training is available through the School of Aviation and Hospitality, while the School of Emerging Technology provides game development and UI/UX laboratories for B.Des students.

More than 7,500 students and 265+ faculty members use the campus. Facilities include a central library, sports courts, a canteen and student activity centres. JG University has not published its hostel availability, so applicants should confirm residential arrangements with the admission office.

JG University vs Silver Oak University vs Parul University

JG University, Silver Oak University in Ahmedabad and Parul University in Vadodara are private multidisciplinary institutions operating under the Gujarat Private Universities Act. They accept similar entrance examinations and attract many of the same Gujarat-based undergraduate applicants. Their main differences include accreditation, campus area, course range and fees.

JG University has the lowest listed B.Tech fee range among the three and provides niche choices such as Game Design, Forensic Science and Aviation Management. Parul University has a larger campus, NAAC A+ accreditation and a stronger NIRF position. Silver Oak University has operated longer in engineering and holds an NIRF ranking in that category, giving it a more established record within Ahmedabad.
