The PhD program in Astronomy consists of a research dissertation, a graduate seminar series, and eight lecture-based courses (credit for applicable graduate courses previously taken may be granted). Students can pursue original, noteworthy research and end up as global experts in any field that our faculty members represent. Numerous opportunities exist in our program for students to engage with faculty members and visiting researchers.
