• The scientific study of work is emphasized in the PhD program in I/O psychology through coursework, research, and applied experiences. Through independent research projects, a dissertation, and active participation in the field through departmental events and conferences, our PhD students develop their expertise.
  • In a nurturing research environment, students collaborate closely with faculty members and with one another to conduct original research. In the areas of leadership, work stress, organizational justice, human factors, organizational climate, organizational conflict and negotiation, gender, and employee recruitment, selection, and performance, faculty members serve as mentors to students.
