The Ph.D. program's major in Cultural, Social, and Political Thought is multidisciplinary in nature. The foundation of it is a cohort learning model that encourages research, interdisciplinary engagement and exchange, peer mentoring, and teamwork. The major's overarching academic goals are to highlight the depth and breadth of social, cultural, and political theory as well as to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to collaborate effectively with agencies and community partners to promote social change.
