Great College for English Hons. Under WBSU

What I Liked

Library has a vast amount of books, a helpful librarian, and access to NDL.
The faculties are great. Let it be teaching method, building relationship with students, or helping them.

What I didn’t like

The clerical staffs can sometimes be a bit hard to deal with.

Placement Experience:

Although the college itself doesn't provide any placement or job opportunities but the H.O.D.s and other professors help a lot to choose and pursue the right career path. I myself applied for the job of tech journalist at a popular YouTube channel named Beebom. I was instantly selected.

Remarks:

It was nearby my house. And it has one of the best English departments among the colleges under West Bengal State University. I didn't face any group discussion, interview, or written test. The selection was solely based on 12th boards marks and seat availability.

The Reality of My College

What I Liked

First thing I like about the college is it's affordable for all who comes from very middle class family.
Second thing is it's location which is very easy to access.

What I didn’t like

I didn't liked the college infrastructure.
There's no physical activities in the college.

Placement Experience:

No placement opportunities available for regular students. Sometimes small call center's approach freshers for them on a salary of maximum ten thousands a month which is very less for the students who invested 3 years for higher salary.

Remarks:

The reason behind choosing this college was my marks in 12th. It was a bit less than what required for other colleges and apart from this it was very close to my house and also the transportation was very easy. Talking about admission, there's nothing students have to do. They just need to pay the admission fees and sometimes they might have to pay to the college union as well.

Best Colleges for Average Families

What I Liked

I especially like all the teachers in this college.
Secondly since the college is located in Kolkata Newtown you will get part time job while studying there.

What I didn’t like

There is no big play ground in this college
College canteen is not good for eating price is so high

Placement Experience:

From now after completing the course I will take a job in any public sector in New Town. And every year big companies come up with placement offers in this college, you can also attend there and get your job directly.

Remarks:

I choose this college Because everything from education to communication system is advanced here. And there is no exam to take admission here. If you have good high secondary result then you will get chance here

About my college

What I Liked

Infrastructure. The infrastructure of the department B.voc is very good
Faculty. Faculties of this college is very supportive and helpful

What I didn’t like

Union. Students union of this college is too bad
Campus Life is also a worst thing about this college

Placement Experience:

Placement process of this college is very good. Mainly I am talking about B.voc degree program. They are providing on campus placement and also have opportunities to do internships at very good news channels

Remarks:

Placement and infrastructure of this college is too good. I am doing B.voc in broadcast journalism from this college, and they all are very supporting and providing me such a good and comfortable education
