DGC Gurgaon Admission Process
Admission to DGC Gurgaon is granted through merit and counselling. Class 12 is required for UG admission, while PG applicants need a recognised bachelor's degree with at least 45% aggregate marks. In selected PG cases, the college may conduct a personal interview.
Every applicant must register and submit the admission form through the Haryana Admission Portal. The college verifies the form and documents, after which ranks and merit lists are prepared using qualifying marks, applicable weightage and the reservation policy. Students allotted a seat must pay the fee within the stated period to confirm admission.
The selection sequence has three counselling phases:
- The first counselling round begins.
- The first merit list is issued.
- The second counselling round follows.
- The second merit list is published.
- The third counselling round is held.
- Physical counselling is conducted for the remaining seats.
Step 1: Online registration
- Students complete an OTP-based registration on the admission portal.
Step 2: Application form
- Applicants enter their personal and educational information, claim any applicable weightage, upload documents, and submit their college and course preferences.
Step 3: Online verification
- The application is assigned to a college according to the applicant's first preference.
- The assigned college checks the submitted form and supporting documents.
- If the college raises an objection, the applicant receives an SMS or email. The issue must then be corrected before the form is submitted again.
Step 4: Merit list and seat allocation
- A rank is calculated from qualifying marks and the applicable weightage.
- The merit list is prepared from these ranks while applying the reservation policy.
Step 5: Fee payment
- Students named in the merit list may pay the required fee online or offline within the scheduled period.
- Once payment is verified, the portal creates a receipt and the allotted admission is confirmed.
Step 6: Admission confirmation
- After paying the fee, the student can download the receipt from the portal as confirmation of admission.
PG admission counselling
- Round 1, Merit List 1: Seats are assigned according to merit.

Ques. What does DGC Gurgaon aim to achieve through Unnat Bharat Abhiyan?
Ans. Unnat Bharat Abhiyan is a flagship programme of the Government of India that uses the knowledge of educational institutions to support major improvements in rural development and help create an inclusive India. It reflects Mahatma Gandhi's vision that rural areas represent the real India and should receive priority in development.
The programme links higher education institutions with nearby communities so they can jointly address rural challenges. Participatory work and suitable technology are used to support sustainable growth through the human and natural resources available in adopted villages. It also seeks to build a continuing relationship between society and an inclusive university system. This includes sharing knowledge and practices for new professions and strengthening the abilities of both public and private sectors.
