Hooghly Women’s College established in 1949, is the first women’s college in the Hooghly district and the largest women’s college under the University of Burdwan. It is a Government-sponsored UGC-approved public institution that offers around 30 courses across 5 streams. The 5 streams are Arts, Fine & Performing Arts, Science, Education, and Medicine. The two degrees offered by the college are BSc. General & Hons. and BA General & Hons.

Ans: HWC Principal has notified the college faculty and students that classes would be carried online during the COVID-19 pandemic crisis.
