The happy pill

What I Liked

Digital library brought up for the students welfare
The new auditorium built with all the facilities

What I didn’t like

Canteen. The canteen can be more elevated
Classroom and washrooms should be maintained

Placement Experience:

Placements are really good with good packages and many students have been placed at good positions The eligibility criteria is just to clear all the semesters without arrears and the fluency in languages

Remarks:

I didn't prepare for any examination or interviews This college was actually chosen by my parents as it's nearby my locality and even the parents would be stress free Admission are actually done through online applications

Read this before joining college at Chennai.

What I Liked

The college curriculum is what I liked the most and the other one is how the college activities is run by the students community which fosters the students Knowledge and ability further.
Even though the space is small. The college has all the required and necessary rooms and halls that are needed by useful management of available places.

What I didn’t like

Since the college is small in size it lacks in conducting overall fests including all three years of the students making it insufficient to accomodate.
In the small ground it is not possible to have atleast one sports area for students to usem while practicing for sports events within the college it gets congested and leaves no space for practice as the same ground is used for parking, fest, sports etc.

Placement Experience:

The college itself provides good placement opportunities and internships at the end of the second year for all departments. The eligibility criteria for both placements and internships is cgpa 7 and above with no current backlogs and 80 per cent of attendance is necessary to sit for placement. The Big 4 companies and other known companies and banks.

Remarks:

As per the admission process according to MOP for UG courses, there's no entrance test or so. Students who are applying and getting a call Letter from the college have to attend an interview with the HOD. This is just a small and regular process, with no complications.

Life at MOP Vaishnav college for women

What I Liked

College is well kept and has a well furnished interior
Campus life can get hard sometimes but it is fun at MOP if you have the right group of people

What I didn’t like

I dislike the fact that the college is small and has a limited parking space
I dislike the food options at the canteen

Placement Experience:

Placements and internships are offered at MOP. Companies like Goldman Sachs, McKinsey, Deloitte, Amazon, PickyourTrail and many more often recruit students mostly based on their skill set, communication, talent, and academic performance.

Remarks:

The factors that made me choose the college was that it had good placement companies from the big fours to other reputed companies. The courses are divided into two shifts namely shift one and shift two. The shift one starts from 8:15 am to 12:45 pm and the second shift starts from 1:45 pm to 5:45 pm. The overall college is small compared to other women's colleges but that is what attracted me, even with a small infrastructure they are maintaining it pretty well. All the classrooms are well furnished and are kept neat. All these factors made me choose this college. I did not face any group discussions, interviews, or written tests of any sort for admission. I simply had to fill in the application and they chose me according to my marks and profile.

What I Liked

Overall college faculties and their teaching help us gain more experience and knowledge
Cultural programs offered under various circumstances

What I didn’t like

Campus , too small and looks like an apartment
Canteen facilities not satisfied costlier foods and junk foods are not healthy

Placement Experience:

Many effective IT companies come here for placements and the college offers 75 per cent placements for students most people prefer doing professional courses, chartered accountants and expose themselves in the best area of the college

Remarks:

Admission is based purely on students' marks in 12th std which enables talented students to enter into the college and helps the students to gain proper knowledge and information. Criteria based on cut-off marks only

Good Placements in 2022

What I Liked

Infrastructure is good since we have all facilities.
Placements were good in 2022. Mostly when compared to most of the arts colleges in Chennai, we have good placements.

What I didn’t like

Campus is very small. It looks like a building.
Few faculties lack teachinh skills so it is better ig we take interest and learn on our own whuch would be helpful gor our master degreee as well if we are going to since in PG usually they wanted us to have a self-study.

Placement Experience:

In 2022, we had very good placements. Most of us got places in big companies like EY, Deloitte, Infosys, CTS, Wipro etc. Eligibiltity is like we shoukd not have any current arrears not sure on the CGPA though. The highest package was 5LPA and lowest was 2LPA. Around 70% of our department weee selected, eest opted fir higher studies.

Remarks:

Heard that the placements were nice which is the main reason for me to join this college. And as said we had very good recruitments in 2022 and most of them got placed. I had an face to face interview with which they are not taking the decision.

Life at M.O.P.

What I Liked

The placement opportunities were good and i liked that.
I liked the college infrastructure and the faculty members who supported the students to develop in career.

What I didn’t like

I didn’t like the canteen facilities and the campus was a bit smaller.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities were good and almost 70% of students used this opportunity. There were many prominent companies like Cognizant, Infosys, and many other companies participated for placement and the exposure was great. The jobs offered were very good for the salary package offered for it. So the placement was really good and i’m thankful to my college for creating such huge opportunity for every student.

Remarks:

I chose M.O.P. Vaishnav college for women because of its infratsructure and the faculty members. The admission process will be completely online the interested candidates must apply through the college website online and then login to apply for your interested courses. For Master of Science course you need to have a bachelor degree certificate to apply for this course. There will be a written test which is easy exam.
